I am an expat from Orange County, California who has been living in South Korea for almost 3 years now, and have been married for over 2 years.
I only have with me the following Star Trek to view for the rest of my life:
11 Star Trek feature films (Korean subtitled)
14 Q episodes on the "Star Trek: Fan Collective - Q" DVD boxset.
Besides Star Trek 12 that will come out in 2013 (And, any possible sequels beyond that one), this is the only TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, (and no ENT) I will be viewing for the rest of my life here.
And I am not the type of person who downloads a movie or an episode and watch it sitting down over his computer screen with a tub of Haggen-Daus ice cream hovering next to the monitor, because I regularly exercise using a stationary bike everytime I watch a movie, TV show, or a news program.
So, that's pretty much it. And, having watched a ton of "Star Trek" since the mid-80's, there's no way I am going to pay buckets of good money for those over-priced Paramount DVDS to import the Trek DVDs I do not already own over here and watch them without Korean subtitles so that my wife won't be able to even be able to view them with me here.
This is the only Trek I have for the rest of my life. The aged TV show casts on the silver screen + John de Lancie's cackling jocularity...
When all is said and done, this is much like that desert island scenario where they ask you what 1 Trek episode you would bring to watch for the rest of your life. Well, I obviously answered my own question here.
I also have with me Free Enterprise and the Futurama episode "Where No Fan Has Gone Before" on DVD to quench my Trek thirst (Eventhough technically they are "not" Trek -- They are Trek, if you know what I mean...) but like the last drops of oil in an empty Middle Eastern refinery, that is about as far as that will go for me.
And, I am fine with that!
