Amazon has a "fulfillment center" in Virgina could be that it doesn't need to be sent out too early in order to get to you.

(It could also have been sent out and the website simply hasn't updated yet/sent out the email.)

Amazon is very good at hitting their promised delivery dates. Especially for new releases and Prime customers. If Amazon said you're getting it tomorrow, you'll get it tomorrow. They know how long it will take their delivery service to get it to you.

In the meantime, i suggest watching this episode of Reading Rainbow, on how they made TNG the first time, and it even shows why Remastering it is such a chore!

I'm hopeful for the special features on the full sets, especially since I never caught the ones on DVD. Would love to see more like this.

Not that anyone needs reminding, but eventually we will have season seven in our hands; when that last day comes and we have watched 'All Good Things,' when we sit there, no longer - once again - having anything new to watch, our mind might wander back to this, first, day. To quote Blade Runner: "revel in your time"...

To suggest that one model was horribly inferior to the other would just seem laughable to them.

My friend who was a producer on the show just got an invite to be interviewed for bonus material for season one. Too bad she didn't work on season one!

Rick Sternbach also will be doing a sit-down interview as well, so it looks like some great extras from the people who brought us the show.
