"Encounter at Farpoint". Boy, the stuntwoman doubling Tasha sure wore a bad wig... ;-)
And here I thought it would be a couple of weeks after most who got the Blu-ray disc viewed it once where talk would digress into discussion of zippers and small errors in these 3 episodes.

see from the TOS-R threads:
more unnoticed things

and
The costumes had some badly hidden zippers and hook-and-eye fastenings at the back to close up the jackets, but I think we weren't 'meant' to see those -

Surely this week there will be a 'more unnoticed things ' type of thread for TNG - The Next Level Blu-ray sampler...

It only took years but they finally did a live-action release with a play all feature.

special features

My friend who was a producer on the show just got an invite to be interviewed for bonus material for season one. Too bad she didn't work on season one!

Rick Sternbach also will be doing a sit-down interview as well, so it looks like some great extras from the people who brought us the show.
Wow this is excellent news 22 Stars thanks for sharing this. Yes! CBS Home Entertainment will be putting some money into the special features for this Blu-ray release of season 1 of TNG-R.
And CBS Home Entertainment has been responsible for many Blu-ray releases since the last of the Star Trek TNG TV series DVDs were created in 2002.
The ENT series release on DVD had great special features with the last season released in 2005. Since then CBS Home Entertainment has put out all the Blu-ray TV series from CBS and Showtime.
I am looking forward to audio commentaries and maybe some deleted scenes (in standard definition as-is) from TNG. Yes this release is for fans and multiple audio commentaries per-episode are cheap to make and will allow many viewings and create more reasons to purchase each season.

I agree, the bonus content certainly adds value to the sets for fans, and I think its important to put all this information together from the creative team. I would also love to see the BD Live content/interativity extended, but that requires a more protracted arrangement with content providers.

Watched the disc yesterday.
The picture looks really good - almost like watching a different show. The effects look remarkably good for such an old TV-show. The fade-outs and fade-ins look a little off though.
I still get watery eyes watching "The Inner Light".

I got it! I got it! omg...took all I had to watch the previews first as I set up sound and picture...people are literally under-reporting how crisp the picture is! Its almost glossy. Truly amazing, the greatest ST presentation ever for the best series ever. Yes, I am hopped up on caffeine from my supplements right now.

RAMA

I'm kind of excited about this but don't have the money to fork over for the sets, again. I really wish this was avaliable on Netflix (maybe even the streaming service). Would love to see those caps or the video even of the opening credits in HD.

The bitrate Netflix streams 1080p video at is laughable compared to a Blu-ray, though.
