The Office 5x25 'Cafe Disco' Discuss & Grade SPOILERS

I thought this was another great episode. Nothing huge but just very fun and uplifting to see them all enjoying each other's company like that. How often does everyone like each other like that? Even Angela tapped her foot :p And the way it was basically a defacto wedding celebration for Jim & Pam made it even sweeter. ... Anyone else see Michael falling madly in love with the new extremely young secretary? She made the fatal mistake of being slightly nice to him!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that didn't care for this episode. I was pretty bored through the whole thing.

If he doesn't, I might. She's cute!

She is indeed. For some reason I can see her and Andy getting together, but that might be because I have a soft spot for the character.

I enjoyed this episode, it was a nice light episode. Dwight's joke on Pam was hilarious, Pam can dish it out but she can't take it. His side interview really sold it for me in that scene. Then Dwight treating Phyllis like a horse also made me laugh. I've enjoyed the more plot driven episodes of late but it was nice to have an episode like this.

I think she will start liking Michael before he he likes her actually. I'm just hoping that develops so that we see a bunch of jokes from Michael about Jim dating the receptionist and him doing the same thing. Maybe another double date like the one he had with Jan before?

I didn't know what to make of it, it was almost an experiment in just pure absurdism. I guess in a way it symbolized the return of Michael Scott, at first, the return of this silly person was outright rejected by the now serious office but then eventually they couldn't help but embrace him by the end.

(paraphrasing)
"A Cafe Disco!"
"Yes!"
"or a Disco Cafe"
"You just don't get it, do you?"

Dwight "treating" Phyllis was hilarious. Also: Bob Vance's secretary is a slightly younger fat bespectedled version of Phyllis! I guess he's a chubby chaser. ;) When she wouldn't let her into his office I was positive he was banging some chick in there. After all they DID sneak off for a quickee in the bathroom when they went to dinner with Jim and Pam. They're freaky, man.

To me it was like the sorbet between meals at a fancy restaurant, getting everyone back to "normal" after being at odds for the previous episodes. It also leaves things wide open for the finale.

I loved it too. It was nice to have a breather from any outright meanness. Just a nice "happy." :)

The only thing that saved the episode for me was when Andy started doing his chair dance - he injects just enough craziness into the scene to make it work.
