The Night Crew

I'm drinking about going to bed, after watching Heroes. I thought it would better than that.

I've made the mistake of getting my hopes up about each week's episode of Heroes far too often recently. As long as the Peter Problem persists, I just can't enjoy it.

I've decided to not post my thoughts here anymore. Luckily for me, I won't be online when the two final episodes air ... and won't be checking for spoilers.

I won't spoil anything but my enjoyment of the show has diminished dramatically recently. I'm not normally someone who gives up on shows, I usually follow things through to the end but I can see this show ending up on the "Things I Used To Watch" pile with CSI before too long if they don't fix the problem.

I refuse to watch CSI. Eek. It's like me saying Radiohead suck and Nickelback are awesome. Someone must shoot me, or lock me and throw away the key.

Anyways, with Heroes, it will be interesting to see what happens with the next volume.

I like the idea of The Hunter being involved

I would like to see some of the characters from the current webisodes to feature soon like Echo (and there is another question here too) ... but I'm going to bed now.

^I have not seen this week's episode yet.

I was not comparing the quality of CSI and Heroes. CSI is a show I used to watch religiously, but now I don't watch it at all anymore. Heroes is going in that direction. It's a chore watching it now, not fun.

^ I watched it earlier. Never got into CSI. It's a Tuesday night thing for me. Plus there is nothing on normal TV here most nights. I'll probably read the latest graphic novel and then sleep.

^I came to the horrible realisation in the rating thread for this week's Heroes that Smallville is actually better than Heroes right now.

Hmm. i dont know, there was almost 10,000 people there.

So 10,000 sad individuals then. I found an important document I thought I lost, and gonna have a few busy days ahead of me before I disappear from the board. Also found some old pictures from high school, which I put on facebook.

I am going back to my parents' house tomorrow for Thanksgiving, and I won't be coming back until Friday. As such, I planned to do a lot of cleaning and stuff tonight so that I'm not returning to a shit hole.

Sadly, I was called upon by my friend Kelley to help her with her car. Her car's battery was dead, beyond the point of being jump-started. And she had a flat tire. Paul, her boyfriend, was trapped at home with the godbabies because they both share the one car, and Kelley had the car at work.

So I met Kelley at work, and I took her to Walmart so she could buy a new battery. (I also needed to go to Walmart anyway to buy a pet carrier for my cat). We returned to her car with the battery, realizing only then that we did not have a wrench. So we hopped back in my car and drove to my apartment (which is right by Walmart, where we had just come from). I grabbed my toolbox and my socket wrench set under the premise of "just in case."

We got back to her car for a second time, popped the hood, and I proceeded to change the battery. I had never ever done this before. I know next to nothing about cars. I only recently learned how to change a tire earlier this year. Luckily, though, I was successful in changing the battery, and then I replaced her flat tire.

Long story short: I was ultra manly with my car repair and excessive amounts of tools tonight. I was rewarded by following her to her apartment, playing with my godbabies, and drinking some equally masculine hot chocolate with Baileys.

I drove to my parents' house today for Thanksgiving. I had to bring my cat along. Not only did she scratch the fuck out of me when I tried to get her into her carrier, she cried the entire 2 hours of the drive.

My cat, being scared of everything, is so traumatized by car rides that he burrows into a little ball and plays dead.

It took a solid 5 hours after I let her out of her carrier before she would go anywhere near anybody. And she was jumpy and scared by every little noise she heard. Poor thing. Has no idea she's perfectly safe.

Aw. Mine returns to normal almost immediately, which always surprises me. My mom's cat on the other hand, absolutely loves car rides. If there's someone else in the car to watch him, we let him out and he will lay across the back window and watch the scenery. Weird cat!
