The Night Crew

When I was younger I was a huge stephen king fan (and by younger i mean like, 10-13) but gradually I progress from him to other writers. My all time favourite author, which is kind of connected to King and was my "fandom" immediately following him till present, is Clive Barker. While I still enjoy some of his work and I respect him as an author he was more of a starting point in my literary interests.

I haven't read any of Barker's stuff for a while. I was thinking of reading The Great and Secret Show last night when I couldn't sleep. I don't remember at all what it was about, except that I think there may have been something about a carpet. Like I said, it's been a long time.
 The carpet one is Weaveworld :p Which is my all time favourite book and at one point i was able to recite the entire first page.

There's supposedly going to be a 3rd book to go with The Great and Secret Show and Everville I havent heard too much on it. However, is newest one is pretty interesting. It's called "Mr. B Gone" and it's about a demon being trapt inside of the book you're reading. It essentially sits there argueing with you trying to convince you to burn the book. The more you read the more it tries telling you in hopes that you'll finally do what it says. It was pretty cool if i do say so myself.

Ha, memory fail for me! Maybe there's something to be said for cutting down on drinking...

Sounds interesting...and now I really do want to go back and reread all my Clive Barker. I'm not sure if I have Weaveworld or if I borrowed it from a friend...I know I have The Great and Secret Show and I'm pretty sure I have Everville, and I know I have the Books of Blood...

Oh, Night Crew, be still my heart. I'm sitting here, just having arrived home, eating cheesy crackers and getting ready for bed, but it's nice to be here again at four in the morning, for it has been awhile.

Is it sad I'm thinking about going to bed at only 9.20pm on a Friday night. Maybe I'm sad and old. Might have some dessert instead. Much better idea.

I went to bed around that time the other night. It felt great. Go for it. It's 5:30am for me and now I'm wishing I had gone to bed then.

I often go to sleep around that time on a Friday. I get up at 5:45 to go to work every day so by Friday it usually catches up with me.

Ouch. 5:45am is late night for me. I don't believe in a universe where that's considered the beginning of the day.

Oh hey, that's what time it is now. :o:techman:

I can't remember the last time I went to bed at that time ... anyways i'll probably go soon, as I've taken my glasses off and now enjoying the cricket. Day 3 should be interesting.

I'm usually tired out by the time I get home on Friday, so I just play video games for a while and then go to bed. Sure, that makes Hermiod a dull boy but it doesn't really matter.

Yeah, it's 6am right now and I just back from the gym!

I'm going to eat a 3rd dinner now and go to bed.

 It's all good. You should read your Barker over again, if not think about getting that new barker book. It's no weaveworld but it's definitely interesting.

"Sarah Palin claiming she's got foriegn policy experice cuz she lives next door to Canada and across the sea from Russian is like me claiming I'm a combat veteran cuz I've played 2 'Call of Duty' games and 4 'Delta Force' games..."
