The Night Crew

Guess what I bought today? Weetabix! I think I'll treat myself to a bowl right now. It better be good, boys.
Weetabix (or Weet-Bix here) are awesome. I use to have them with a little honey, and sometimes put some fruit on them also.
I'm eating mine with vanilla soy milk so it adds a nice amount of sweetness.
Currently the cereal I'm having at breakfast, is this cereal which the local Aldi sells called Be Light Forest Berries special flakes.
Yum! Kashi has a cereal like that too, flakes with strawberries. It is SO good. The cereal I'd like to try next is the Honey Bunches of Oats Just Bunches. I love it because it's such a Gen-next (or whatever generation we are) Hipster-kid thing to do. It's like selling Lucky Charms with just the marshmallows or something. I bet it's delicious.

I love spoon size shredded wheat the most. Although, do you remember the ones that had berry stuff inside of them when we were kids? Those were the absolute best!
I've never seen those! Were they available in the states?
I used to love cocoa pebbles. I still love cocoa pebbles. When I am very, very naughty I go and buy a box.
I really like raisin bran, though. And I like it all soggy and mushy. I suppose I'll have an easy time of it when I'm old, considering I already love bran flakes and cottage cheese.
Honey nut cheerios are also a classic.

Edit: I have just eaten my first bowl of Weetabix and I am in love. It's a big bowl of mush! And I don't even have to let it sit for 2 minutes like I do raisin bran -- it turns to mush instantly! I think it'll be good warmed up in the winter too, anyone tried that?

I don't remember what they were called, who made them, or if they were available anywhere else. It's too bad. They were really good. There was a blueberry flavour, one of the red berries, and then I think something like raisin.

I've never had Cocoa Pebbles or much of anything else like that. I remember joking when I turned twenty that I'd lost out on my chance to ever have Trix because Trix are for kids, right?

And eww, soggy?! I like my cereal just a little soggy with a little crunch. Like steamed vegetables, although that's an unappetizing juxtaposition now that I think about it.

Warm Weetabix might be good, though my favorite warm winter cereal is still Cream of Wheat, or Red River.

I am bored as hell tonight. None of my friends want to do anything, and I have nothing around the house to accomplish. I've already cleaned most of it, and I don't want to vacuum this late at night. I'm in an apartment building, and my neighbors are probably sleeping.

It wouldn't bother me so much except that I had today off, so I haven't done anything since I woke up.

I'm all for soggy. And my favorite winter cereal is oat bran.
Well, I'm off to bed. I know, I know, 1am is awfully early -- what am I, 17?! I'm going to try to make myself get up and run tomorrow. I used to run 4-5 miles every morning, but I haven't done it in a couple of years. I'm going to have to take a 15-20 minute bike ride to get to the park where I feel comfortable running (I'd get harassed too much in my neighborhood). I'm not sure how out of shape I am, but I'm hoping I can go for at least 10 minutes without a stop and walk break. It'll be a pain to get there, but I do love running, and I am sick of being FAT!

Of course what's most likely to happen is that I'll hit the snooze button till noon and spend the day doing crosswords at the coffee shop.

I had a day like that, RoJo. Didn't feel like I accomplished anything. On top of that, the one thing I tried to do was figure out what was wrong with my camera (the shutter jammed and won't operate) and all that accomplished was learning that it isn't just the battery (batteries on old cameras last for years) and I'd have to go get it repaired. Put me in a bit of a funk.

So now I'm watching The West Wing because that's my adult version of a safety blanket. :D

TSQ, I'm totally making you watch the first season with me. Just don't make me go running with you. I have the endurance of whatever one of those things is that doesn't have much endurance. ;)

Ha. I've been continuing the Firefly that I started yesterday. Just finished "Trash."

I did go to the gym today, and then I wandered around Best Buy. I purchased the BBC series "Spaced" because I've been told it's hilarious. And I went grocery shopping.

But all of that took maybe 3 hours total. The rest of my day was spent on my futon.

I was supposed to clean today for this big party on saturday and then didn't. I went grocery shopping, though, just to get out of the house. Found some good deals on three different kinds of meat. I guess that was the highlight of my day.

I also bought some rice cakes, which is what I'm munching on right now. Mmm, bland and ricey!

I am going to eat the King Size Reeses Peanut Butter Cups that I bought when I went grocery shopping.

I am tempted to go to Walmart just to wander around for a while and see what random crap I can buy.
