Well, it's a corporate thing, unfortunately. Bartenders who drink there tend to get fired.

I'm going to start bartending at a locally-owned bar in the next couple weeks. I'm sure it won't be the same.

TGI Fridays.

And despite what some people will tell you, it is a real bar. Not that all TGI Fridays have real bars. But my restaurant used to be something else, and it's attached to a hotel that does a lot of international business, and it's right next door to a giant convention center that hosts big concerts and sporting events, so we do get a pretty substantial bar crowd.

And I'm off.

Bars close in an hour and a half, so it won't be a long night.

There are four gills named Esme, Beatrix, Cameo, and I can't remember what My mom called the fourth one. I love kittens even more than i love wine. Maybe.

AWWWWWWW my kitty had 2 males and 2 females, thier names are (males) Steev and Champ, and the females are Gizmo and Odin Jr. (Oju)

I'm listening to some live Crowded House on the radio. There doing an Impossible Music Festival this weekend. Already today had Cold Chisel (waking up to Chisel was different), The Pixies, Amy Winehouse, Beastie Boys, Nirvana, Klaxons and Silverchair. The lineup tomorrow is even better.

Newborns are weird looking, and that extends to kittens.

I like my human and animal babies to be at least 2 weeks old.

Okay, so I just got back from my exciting 1.5 hour romp through The District. I met a couple friends at a martini bar and had a Melon-flavored martini, which basically tasted like juice, and if I hadn't seen him make the thing, I wouldn't be convinced that there was any alcohol in it. It was kind of a waste of money.

Then we went to another bar to play darts, and I had 2 Captain & Cokes. I won at darts.

And now I'm back home, feeling good after a successful distraction at the bars. It's 3:30am...I want to eat before bed.

I don't have the stuff for it here. All of my alcohol is in a box at my friend's apartment because we were attempting to be Mixologists one night and invent drinks.

the poolside bartender at the Pensacola Beach Hilton makes a Long Isand Iced Tea that tastes just like sweet tea, but the instant you finish it, you get a hangover

We don't drink Sweet Tea in Illinois.

It's a southern thing. People from the south who stay at my hotel often ask for Sweet Tea, and they are appalled that we don't have it.

because you people are ass-backwards, don't you know you have to mix the sugar when the tea is hot, or else it doesn't taste right?

It tastes like...iced tea...

Oddly, I know people from the north who have tried Sweet Tea and think it is nasty.

I don't like any kind of tea, so it's not really an issue.
