The new sonic screwdriver

Aw, and I was really hoping the 11th doctor would save the universe with a kettle and some string :(
im not sure what kind of story they could write, where that would be possible.

short of teeing the kettle with the string, and swinging it around, hitting the bad guy on the head with it.

Hey the truth is Davison pretty much had no screwdriver his entire run, nor did Baker or McCoy I don't think (McCoy had one in the film and that's it) and they still managed to save the universe every week!

(you do get the reference don't you? I may have remembered it slightly wrong...)
 
Don't sweat it, Starkers. We're looking at en entire generation who believe The Doctor can't get by without a Sonic Screwdriver and Psychic Paper. And who knows? Maybe he genuinely needs them in his old age, you know? ;)

The modern Doctor is basically a Wizard and the kids expect him to have his wand.

Yes, but that was Tennant's run during the Harry Potter popular years. Now, we have to figure out how they will relate this poor bastard to Twlight... :angel:

im not saying Davidson didnt, not use the sonic screwdriver, and the reference is from Time Crash (my favourite fifth Doctor story ;) )

You REALLY need to watch more Wallace and Gromit. ;)
ive tried it, im not a fan.
