Game The Most Disliked Prime Directive Episode

It's a mini-reunion from the cast of "The Wrath of Khan"!

TNG Season 1: "Symbiosis"

I've a soft spot for it, but can't deny that it's more than a tad preachy and after-school special at times, neither the pushers or the addicts come across as sympathetic (should they? Maybe the Arnarans, but the script is missing something...), Tasha waves out of character because it's 1988 and somehow the director and editor didn't see it and demanding a retake, but there is rather some excellent acting in this and they leave it open-ended -- a fact that "Lower Decks" takes terrific advantage of - no spoilers, but IMHO it's a must see.

I'll go with The Cloud Minders, which is one of the few great episodes of TOS's third season. It has some cool visuals in it.

It has some bold ideas and that alone will count for some points but, as with the dopey dope episode I just saved, it could have done a lot more, and with more creativity. That said, there is some good acting, from what I recall - particularly by Vanna. Her and Plassus struck me as having the best actors putting in their all. Droxine was okay... I recall they had a novel take on the post-commercial break with letting Spock do some narration that isn't "log: I have a stick up my--" and I recall that was a refreshing change as far as recaps go, while remaining in-character.

And, yup, the visual effects and set designs are great and even striking - especially for late-season 3. Excellent uses of color. :luvlove:

The list gets less and less appealing... but I will save "Equinox part 1". The joy of reuniting with another Stardleet vessel, followed by the disturbing truths that emerged. And I can't help wondering what might have happened if Janeway had shown a bit more understanding and a bit less "I'm going to string up the lot of you" in her discussion with Captain Ransom. I still like the character, but this wasn't her finest hour.

I'll save Flesh and Blood next. It's a good use of the Hirogen after The Killing Game and holodecks. It also featured the poor Doctor and his crisis of ethics regarding his fellow holograms. I just ignore whether they should really have turned up 20,000 light-years after they last encountered the VOY crew. ;)

"The Outcast." Once it's relieved of the burden of being nearly the sole representation of LGBTQ issues in all of Star Trek, it gets a lot better. It was one of the most interesting eps to redisocver in the Streaming Trek era.

I quite like ENT: "The Communicator" for showing what could have happened after the end of TOS: "A Piece of the Action". Although, I think Archer should have told the truth to the local military about who he and Reed were - or, better yet, tell them he's a genetically engineered secret agent for their side, rather than their enemy's (and then share loads of old twaddle about the tech and their appearance).

Saving "Asylum" - The next step after learning the importance of the Prime Directive is, of course, figuring out how to circumvent it in good cause. :D Downside is that the PD is really just relevant to a sliver of this episode, but the kids did good.

Saving "Friday's Child" as it shows that the Federation is not always above board when it comes to negotiationg with apparent prewarp civilizations. Also, I have always enjoyed the Capellans, their salute and weapons.

@fireproof78 - you inadvertently brought a few back. Fixing.

And, saving "Homeward". It's not TNG's best, but once Picard gets past the scripted "we gotta let 'em all die to create artificial conflict" stage of the game, it's an interesting idea, anyway. And maybe seeing the Prime Directive done wrong will help us figure how to do it right.

Saving TOS Season 2: "The Omega Glory." Yes it has some level of absurdity in it, even for Star Trek, but otherwise it is a very taught, tense, and even terrifying hour of Star Trek with one of the most menacing antagonists the series ever produced. There's some really good stuff in this one that you can't overlook.

I think, when I created my "what's left" list...I took care of it. So if people copy off mine, it should be ok.

C'mon @fireproof78 ...quit screwing up the entire universe.....!!!

Surprised "The Apple" is still here. It's super entertaining. All those crazy red shirt deaths. Kirk's casual "you'll figure it out!" when the natives ask follow-up questions about how they will live now that Kirk has blown up their whole way of life. Always a lot of laughs on this one.

Yeah, really. That's my job.

Kirk's casual "you'll figure it out!" when the natives ask follow-up questions about how they will live now that Kirk has blown up their whole way of life. Always
Right up until they all die. Them and those Spock's Brain ladies. Unless Enterprise has a Second Contact team on a Cerritos equivalent warping around in her wake like a patient mom cleaning up her two-year-old kid's messes.

Edit: Saving Civilization, just for Archer being Star Slut Lite.
