I should have saved this one earlier, it's an underrated gem that fits Trek to a "T". "R", "E", and the "K". Granted, having eight hours of sleepiepoo per night helps, but nobody's perfect...

Geordi getting to sleuth in areas other than Engineering, and without more failed dating attempts, is pretty robust.

This is a great Beverly episode, too! Far better than some season 5 shlock...

(This one's also an easier way to have done some of the costuming in "Tron", but what they did at the time was cool in its own right, I digress.)

Another episode I wish I'd saved despite my earlier, silly napfest... But while it's a little contrived, dang-- they recaptured the "cowboy diplomacy" of TOS in some great ways and without having to say "cowboy diplomacy". It's a fantastic little eppy and another facet of season 4's wide range of excellent storytelling. TNG's final season of consistent glory.

A great setup... apart from reuse of Borg corridor sets with so little redressing?! They're too iconic and distract and detract and other d-words.

Another GREAT Beverly scene from season 4, before season 5 took its nasty turn...

A great Data scene, in true Trek trend, and the outfit is a bit too much for ISHara Yar. This isn't Yoga or Ballet class.

Another great scene, too good to not include, and I dig their cadre's sartorial taste. At least, up to this point! Great direction and placement of actors in shot as well.

Remember kids, when trying to sleuth and shroud your way covertly so you don't get spotted so surely then surely become surly as a result, always - and I mean ALWAYS - never wear friggin' 80s neon unless everything around you is nigh-on pitch black or you'll stand out. Unless your fellow species see along a different spectrum and none of them has a VISOR like Geordi or anything... (it helps if you knew the inflection and cadence, which is surely sadly impossible to convey in written medium...)

Saving VOY: "Hope And Fear" - As I said in another game, I find the build up and crushing ending very similar to "Eye of the Needle" (except that they did get a bit closer to home in HaF) - which is one of my very favourite VOY episodes. Arturis was a great antagonist - I wouldn't go as far as calling him a villain, though - and the Dauntless was cool!

I am starting to struggle now with no episodes leaping out at me.

"In A Mirror, Darkly" was a return to the Mirror Universe that could have caused real continuity problems as well as being yet another "visit too far" to the MU. This was avoided by basing the whole episode in the MU and using only MU characters. It is a chance to see the usual cast playing out of their characters, something that generally makes for enjoyable watching.

One of my favorite DS9 episodes. Great conflict and tension between characters, especially Sisko and Kassidy. And Eddington coming out of nowhere as the Maquis antihero. Brilliant.

Whenever I think of the musical themes of the various series, I always tend to associate "Archer's Theme" (the music in the end credits) with Enterprise.

Choose to Live gets my next vote. I love the qowat milat and seeing more of them and more Ni'var is always good, one of my favourite this is how much things have changed pieces of lore in the 32nd century. Those bug aliens were pretty cool too.

I don't think it's got a very good reputation, but I really like DS9: "The Muse". Lwaxana's final on-screen appearance is rather touching, especially Odo's marriage speech. And it's always lovely to see Jake - even if he is being drained by a space vampire.

In theory, this was a decent episode:

The lead-up to the explosive finale of Klingon civil war was captivating at the time. Worf, opting to walk away, made for one heck of a cliffhanger. There's only one way to top it, and that's having... Denise Crosby in a dual role as a blonde bombshell Romulan! And the real truthbomb wasn't dropped until part two! Considering that "same actor, different role" was not new to television at the time, this cliffhanger took a serious chance in holding back Sela's relation to Yar.

Isn't that smirk so cute? But seriously. Same actor, different role, what's the relevance or even emphasis... But with that said, just wait a few months, and we'll find out, on Staaaaaar Trek The Tasha Generation!!!
