Saving DS9: "Hard Time." Another "O'Brien Must Suffer" episode that, if I'm not mistaken, was originally conceived from a story idea of my beloved Sito Jaxa as a POW killing her cell mate in prison. Struggling with morality in difficult circumstances is a bit of a staple. Hippocratic Oath has Bashir trying to do the right thing as a doctor, and O'Brien trying to do the right thing as a soldier and their "right things" being in conflict with each other. The b-plot mirrors this as Worf learns that law enforcement on DS9 has many grey areas compared to a Federation star ship.

It's akin to Flowers for Algernon, in but space, and I bet anyone under 45 has no clue about that novel, or film adaptation, on Staaaaaaaaaaaaar Trek The Next Generation, so there, HA!!!

But it does have a happy ending as the Cytherian managed to detangle Barclay out of the computer. Indeed, the plot setup, buildup and execution are all marvelously handled.

I gotta keep on Lower Decks. "A Few Badgeys More." Did I love how this brought so many different recurring villain stories to a climax - with redemptions all around. Very Star Trek-y.

All of those characters are so fantastic - Badgey, Peanut Hamper, the Jeffrey Combs robot the name of which I'm blanking on.
