I actually don’t hate either of these episodes. I think there are worse in the series (and TOS is my favorite). But I’ve been consistent with being supportive of this one. It also boasts one of the best Spock lines in the entire franchise:

And I for one think the fact that Lazarus drives a Jetsons car as his personal conveyance is pretty noteworthy.

"AND THE CHILDREN SHALL LEAD" remains.

And once again, "AND THE CHILDREN SHALL LEAD" wins the 'Most Disliked TOS Episode'. Would it surprise you all to learn that this has won every time except one, and that was the one time it didn't make it into the finals? Just look at the previous game winners of years past at the beginning of each game season.

It just takes one person to save an episode before the final two in a season.

Besides, as ludicrous as "SPOCK'S BRAIN" is, it's still better than "AND THE CHILDREN SHALL LEAD".

I happen to love Spock's Brain. And it's not just me: the "Target Audience" reactors, two guys on youtube, watched it for the first time, and after having heard for so long that it was so bad, they were surprised at how good it was. They came in with fresh eyes and enjoyed it plenty.
