The Most Disliked Episode of TNG - Final Round...

Agreed, and that's four points.

In the new round, I'll cast a vote for "Aquiel." Agreed, the ending is terrible, but it was mildly intriguing to that point. And whoo! a real woman for the ever-unlucky LaForge.
...

I don't know did he really get lucky or only got crystal sex? It's like phone sex only with some weird piece of crystal!!!:D

I guess "Aquiel" is the only one left who's not completely cringeworthy.

I guess I will go with Emergence. It's the least worst of the remaining ones. David Huddleston, the guy who played the conductor, is a pretty well known character actor. I guess I will vote for the show just because he was in it.

A little to my own surprise, I will throw a point to "Haven," because I have a vague memory of Mr. Homm making me laugh at the end, and it's the only positive memory I have of any of these.

I also like Lwaxana, I'll do "Haven" this round. It's rough, but I am a big Troi fan and I appreciate this first attempt at a Troi episode. I also love the remaster on this one, it looks great.

Force of Nature had a perfectly good start. It's when character actions got all implausible and the characters started lecturing to us about how "We didn't listen!" that the show went off the rails. But the metaphor is actually a good one if global warming is what you're after.

Of course, the fact that this phenomenon had not been discovered by any space-faring civilization thousands of years ago is difficult to believe - if a mere warp core breach will do the trick - and the fact that it did nothing to shape the Star Trek Universe in Deep Space Nine or Voyager - that I can remember - reduces its importance further still.

I'll give a point to Emergence as well. It's a fairly odd one, but it has some great images in it.

Another point to Haven. I’ll always go with the flawed episode with a few unique positives over the generibland ones.

I don’t know what I’ll vote for if Haven, Emergence and Force are gone. Three episodes that are terrible and one that would fit the generibland category if they didn’t completely handwave that the crew was supporting slavery. In this episode the Trill were the gu’ald, only in DS9 did they make them the Tok’ra.

I'll save Haven; it's flawed, but not the worst story from this bunch by any means, and Dennis McCarthy's score really brings a lot of life to the proceedings.

I'll vote for Code of Honor because it's the only episode remaining that gives me any pleasure. It's unintentionally racist but it's also campy entertainment. Take out the offensive element and it's the best episode on this list! Point of trivia: Code of Honor is the only TNG episode supplied with music from a composer from TOS.

Shades of Grey is just a clip show.
The Outrageous Okona was a season 2 throwaway.
The Host was soapy.
I haven't even sat through Emergence and Force of Nature.

Emergence, since the holodeck locations at least add some variety to the proceedings, whereas most of the other ones here are bottle episodes.

Though it doesn't ultimately come together as a satisfying episode, there are things in "Emergence" to enjoy. Some fun imagery, and Troi getting to be useful and do her actual job at the same time, a rare occurrence. I'll save it and reset votes to zero.

Well, among the ones left, "Shades Of Gray" is a clip show but at least it's mostly good clips from other episodes.

I'll also do "Shades Of Gray" this round. I've talked earlier in the thread about how I've recently started to enjoy it, it's more enjoyable to watch than any of these others. And there's no other ep like it! :bolian:

Also, now that all TV is so goddamn prestigious and "it's a 10 hour movie!", I find myself increasingly nostalgic for the silly TV devices of yore, of which this is a well-done example.
