The Most Disliked Episode of TNG - Final Round...

I'll do "Aquiel" this round. I can't help but be charmed by silly mysteries. Hell, I even like "Suspicions" and kind of enjoy "Field Of Fire."

Code Of Honor - 0
Haven - 0
Shades Of Gray - 0
The Outrageous Okona - 0
Transfigurations - 1
The Host - 0
Birthright, Part II - 2
Aquiel - 2
Emergence - 0
Force of Nature - 0

Birthright II; not a great episode, but not really that bad either, and in retrospect the otherwise-superior first half gave it nothing to work with by concluding both Data's plot and the DS9 crossover, confirming that Mogh really was dead, and that the Klingons and Romulans were living together peacefully in the camp.

Code Of Honor - 0
Haven - 0
Shades Of Gray - 0
The Outrageous Okona - 0
Transfigurations - 1
The Host - 0
Birthright, Part II - 3
Aquiel - 2
Emergence - 0
Force of Nature - 0

I give a point to Haven, the first Lwaxanna show

Code Of Honor - 0
Haven - 1
Shades Of Gray - 0
The Outrageous Okona - 0
Transfigurations - 1
The Host - 0
Birthright, Part II - 3
Aquiel - 2
Emergence - 0
Force of Nature - 0

I will cast the saving vote for Birthright! Same reasons as before. And I will cast a vote in the next round for Haven. It's got its problems, but it has the most uniqueness in its aesthetic. And it has that neat stuff about destined lovers subconsciously waiting for each other all their lives. A few of the other episodes have fewer flaws but also less upside.

Code Of Honor - 0
Haven - 1
Shades Of Gray - 0
The Outrageous Okona - 0
Transfigurations - 0
The Host - 0
Aquiel - 0
Emergence - 0
Force of Nature - 0

I'll do "Aquiel" again this round.

Code Of Honor - 0
Haven - 1
Shades Of Gray - 0
The Outrageous Okona - 0
Transfigurations - 0
The Host - 0
Aquiel - 1
Emergence - 0
Force of Nature - 0

I'll vote for Transfigurations, since its main problem is just being bland, rather than actively bad.

Code Of Honor - 0
Haven - 1
Shades Of Gray - 0
The Outrageous Okona - 0
Transfigurations - 1
The Host - 0
Aquiel - 1
Emergence - 0
Force of Nature - 0

I will give a point to "Emergence". Despite the execution falling short, the premise of the ship itself creating life was really interesting... years later, it reminded of Moya giving birth to Talyn on FARSCAPE... and it was fun to see the mishmash of different holodeck programs in one.

Code Of Honor - 0
Haven - 1
Shades Of Gray - 0
The Outrageous Okona - 0
Transfigurations - 1
The Host - 0
Aquiel - 1
Emergence - 1
Force of Nature - 0

It's a selling point for me. Lwaxana's character may have rubbed some people the wrong way, but it brings a sense of realism to the STAR TREK world.

And frankly, I enjoyed her character.

I'll vote for Transfigurations again. :)

Code Of Honor - 0
Haven - 1
Shades Of Gray - 0
The Outrageous Okona - 0
Transfigurations - 2
The Host - 0
Aquiel - 1
Emergence - 1
Force of Nature - 0

Ok, I'll vote for Transfigurations this time but without much enthusiasm.

Code Of Honor - 0
Haven - 1
Shades Of Gray - 0
The Outrageous Okona - 0
Transfigurations - 3
The Host - 0
Aquiel - 1
Emergence - 1
Force of Nature - 0

I suppose if I had to rewatch the remaining episodes I'd rewatch them in the following order:
1. Code of Honor. The best episode on the list but the most offensive.
2. Haven. A fun show.
3. The Outrageous Okona. Pretty dumb but it has some moments.
4. The Host. Too soapy but it has some nice moments.
5. Transfigurations. The most boring episode of season 3.
6. Shades of Grey.
7. Aquiel.
8. Emergence.
9. Force of Nature.

I realize at this point I see "Transfigurations" as less of an episode than "Shades Of Gray", which is interesting. There's just nothing there! It's so generic! "Gray" is at least memorably ballsy with it's Clip Show Device gimmick. Everytime I stumble upon "Transfigurations", I can feel myself forgetting it as I'm watching.

It has some good moments but Transfigurations is basically every Star Trek cliche rolled into one episode. The mysterious glowing alien..he doesnt remember his identity but he knows he is destined..his people are afraid and unready for a change...he's evolving into a higher life.

I must admit that Transfigurations is one of these episodes that I need to read the wiki summing up of before I remember what it was about. It seems my mind can't be bothered to retain any active memory of it.

"Code Of Honor" is offensive but at least I remember what it was about, unfortunately.

I'll go Aquiel. The ending is terrible, but up until then it wasn't doing too badly.

Code Of Honor - 0
Haven - 1
Shades Of Gray - 0
The Outrageous Okona - 0
Transfigurations - 3
The Host - 0
Aquiel - 2
Emergence - 1
Force of Nature - 0

Agreed, and that's four points.

In the new round, I'll cast a vote for "Aquiel." Agreed, the ending is terrible, but it was mildly intriguing to that point. And whoo! a real woman for the ever-unlucky LaForge.
