Farscape One

Admiral
Admiral
Here we have the winners and runners up of each season:

Season One: "TWO DAYS AND TWO NIGHTS"
Wild Card: "TERRA NOVA"
Season Two: "PRECIOUS CARGO"
Wild Card: "BOUNTY"
Season Three: "EXTINCTION"
Wild Card: "RAJIIN"
Season Four: "STORM FRONT"
Wild Card: "DAEDALUS"

So now it is time for the final part.

*RULES*

Give what you consider to be the best/your most favorite episode ONE point, and briefly explain WHY. Be sure to copy and paste the list with your point added. When an episode reaches 4 points, it is eliminated. Then a NEW round begins (in this thread) with the numbers restored to 0. Vote ONCE per round. And enjoy! :bolian:

My first vote goes to "STORM FRONT". All the episodes on this list have their bad points, but at least this one starts the final arc in the Temporal Cold War... an arc I hated from the start. Thank you, Manny Coto, for putting the nail in the coffin to this ridiculous storyline.

I am voting for Bounty that has at least the merit of being connected to a previous episode, plus I hate space Nazis or any kind of Nazi for that matter.

Storm Front. It does probably the best job it could with the flat-out ridiculous premise that was forced upon it by the previous season's finale, and isn't really that bad of an episode all things considered.

I don't get the hate for "Terra Nova". That it might be the worst Enterprise has to offer... ? That's pure "shale"... to borrow some slang from this episode. I liked hearing about one of humanity's first attempts to colonise space. It's realistic there would be set-backs, and even having gone native in order to survive. I liked the initial mystery - how nobody was sure anybody had survived on the surface, and then the landing party are attacked. That they were using projectile weapons, capture Reed and hold him underground where they live. The old comm voice blaming people back on Earth for their predicament is chilling. The arguments back and forth between Archer and T'Pol over whether they bring them home were meaningful. The attempts to convince the old woman from the surface, against the wishes of her son, with family photographs are moving. It reminded me some of my earliest memories of watching Star Trek... a planet episode like "This Side of Paradise" crossed with elements of "Miri" and "The Devil in the Dark"... As I say, I just don't get it. What's not to like?

I'll vote Storm Front. It has to jump through some ridiculous hoops to clear the decks for season 4, but I don't think that makes it a bad episode.

Daedalus. Not as offensively bad as the others here, just really dull and undistinguished.

Still voting for BOUNTY for at least addressing the fact that archer broke out of a Klingon prison by...

(Hold on to your hat)

...walking out of there!!!

That must have been hell!

And that it only makes sense that the Klingon would be after him.

I'm giving Terra Nova a point this time, for the same reasons already given by @ChristopherPike above.
I believe repeating the aforementioned reasons would be redundant.

I am also viting for "TERRA NOVA". The reasons listed above, I am in agreement. And the mystery element at the beginning elevates it above the others for me.

Daedalus. It's not as great as most of season 4, but it doesn't deserve to be ranked among the worst of the series, IMO.

Terra Nova for the reasons mentioned in above posts

Sorry I stuck my two-penneth in! But I do genuinely think "Terra Nova" wasn't all that bad, by Trek standards. "Daedalus" would've been my next least disliked, for giving us an inventor for the transporter... although I've since learnt there's a TNG comic book and they got there first, with an entirely different guy and backstory.

After that it is a struggle. "Bounty" is slightly off with the Tellarites for me, which "Babel One" later corrects ...and T'Pol in heat, trying to get Phlox to satisfy her is excruciating to watch. "Rajiin" has a similar problem with its femme fatale enamoured with Archer and also working her way through the crew - male & female alike! It's livened up by the first real action scene with the Xindi-Reptilians boarding Enterprise to retrieve her, and the intelligence she's collected.

Actually I think I will vote "Rajiin", based on those last 10 minutes or so.

I am voting for "DAEDALUS" this round. While the episode, overall, is rather boring and forgettable, meeting the inventor of the transporter was cool. Plus, he did give a good performance as a father obsessed with trying to get his son back, only to be the one to end his suffering.

DAEDALUS just for being the least bad of this group. Can't really muster up more enthusiasm for it. Everything else is gonna be hard to "save".

Voting DAEDALUS this round, as it doesn't seem to be as bad as the others; except may for Bounty but it's a wash between the two to me so...
