(in courtroom)

Kirk: That's Vina again, as the green Orion slave girl? (Pike beeps "yes")

 

[LeadHead]

Mendez: They're like animals, vicious, seductive. They say no human male can resist them.

 

[Leandar]

(The music and Vina's sensuous dance continues)

(Act Three)

Kirk: Strange evidence from the past, how the Talosians, planning to breed a society of human slaves, tempted Captain Pike with the Earth woman they held in captivity. And as she appeared to him in many forms, each more exciting than the last, Pike was beginning to weaken...

 

[LeadHead]

Officer: Suppose you had all the space to choose from and this was only a small sample.

 

[Leandar]

Trader: Wouldn't you say it was worth a man's soul?

 

[LeadHead]

Number One: Now you all know the situation. We're hoping to transport down inside the Talosian Community.

 

[scotpens]

SPOCK: If our measurements and readings are an illusion also, one could find oneself materialized inside solid rock.

 

[Leandar]

Number One: Nothing will be said if any volunteer wishes to back out.

 

[LeadHead]

Spock: THE WOMEN!

 

[Orac]

Number One: Captain!

 

[Leandar]

Vina: No, let me finish!

 

[Adm_Hawthorne]

Number One: But, we were a party of six.

 

[Leandar]

Colt: We were the only ones transported.

 

[CoveTom]

VINA: No, let me finish!

 

[LeadHead]

Pike: They don't work.

 

[CoveTom]

I think I got us off track. I think the last few lines should have been:

COLT: We were the only ones transported.
VINA: It's not fair. You don't need them.
PIKE (trying laser): They don't work.

And then on to...

NUMBER ONE: They were fully charged when we left. (then trying communicator) It's dead. I can't make a signal. (a beat) What is it?

 

[LeadHead]

Pike: Don't say anything. I'm filling my mind with a picture of beating their huge, misshapen heads to pulp, thoughts so primitive they black out everything else. I'm filling my mind with hate.

 

[Brian]

VINA: How long can you block your thoughts? A few minutes, an hour? How can that help?

 

[LeadHead]

Colt: Leave him alone.

 

[CoveTom]

VINA: He doesn't need you. He's already picked me.
