The Maple Leaf Lounge

35 with humidex of 46 here on the South Shore of Montreal (outside—inside the A/C is keeping things cool).

NOT a day for intense outdoor activities (a few of my neighbours seem not to have gotten the memo).

Saw a news article about that. Seems some places in Alberta got as much as 30cm. Yikes.

Yep. Those would be at higher elevations. I'm just shy of 3000 ft. here, and we've just had rain, though there's been a weather advisory for snow. It was foggy the other morning, but considering that there are so many wildfires going on now, it's sometimes hard to tell if it's fog or smoke.

It's about 11C here, which is chilly for this time of year. I'm going to be sleeping under my fleece TARDIS blanket tonight (best purchase I ever made from ThinkGeek when it was still in business - those blankets are large and comfy!).

It's supposed to be slightly cooler today with a high of 33 and a humidex of 42, but I won't be going for my lunchtime walk today. I had the luxury of working from home yesterday, but I'm in the office today, so I'd rather not be dripping with sweat at the office.
