So, is anyone else roasting? It's 34 here in Ottawa with a Humidex of 47.
Saw a news article about that. Seems some places in Alberta got as much as 30cm. Yikes.Apparently there was snow a couple of days ago in the mountains out here.

It's funny, I just noticed the text in your avatar. I used to live in the same "Sector" as you. I still work nearby.
It's not ringing a bell for me, either. Mind you, I wasn't watching a lot of TV during those years.Hey people of Canadia! I'm looking for a specific drama I caught a few episodes of but not the end some years ago, and I hope my vague description will dredge up a name.
I have really enjoyed (for a given value of 'enjoy') some TV dramas about indigenous people going missing and the efforts to resolve them. 'Three Pines' and 'Alaska Daily' come to mind (both of which I wish they'd made more of) but this was before them, Can't remember exactly when, if I had to guess I'd say 2010 +/- 5 years. What I remember of the first ep is some law enforcement people stumbled on a body hidden in a ruined (stone?) house, they didn't know it was there. The main guy had a troubled past with authority, so is not getting a lot of support, but the female lead (partner?) thought he was on to something. the image that comes to mind is frozen blood on the floor of the house, or something like that. Not sure of it was 'Blackstone' or not. Is that show any good? Also any recommendations in a similar vein would be appreciated. Ta!

wikipedia said:John Cardinal is a troubled and brooding police officer in Algonquin Bay, who was removed from the homicide squad as a result of chief Noelle Dyson's belief that he had become obsessed with his investigation of a missing Native Canadian girl. When the girl's body finally turns up, he is reassigned to the case with a new partner, Lise Delorme What he does not know is that Delorme has been assigned to investigate him as part of a corruption probe that has identified Cardinal as possibly collaborating with a local drug dealer. The investigation widens when another missing person case with similar patterns leads Cardinal to believe that aserial killer may be active in the area.
