With that said, TSFS gets my vote -- what's supposed to be a cowboy ride of a movie gets bogged down about legalities, protocol, and then a slightly upgraded away mission. To this day I can't knock TMP (or, at least, I'm more willing to forgive TMP) because of a scale of sci-fi the movies still haven't tried to match. C'mon Abrams, GET ON IT!

No angst here, tighr! I love FC, but of the choices remaining - it has to be the one to throw out for me.

Star Trek III: The Search for Spock is eliminated, with 5 votes. Aside from the "Stealing the Enterprise," scene, the movie just doesn't appeal to me. Drags on too long, destroys the Enterprise in underwhelming fashion, and should have ended better.

I suspect I'll get some flak for this, but First Contact simply didn't grip me at all. In fact I could count the scenes I really liked on one hand.
