The least disliked episode of DS9 - Season Three

Whew, it's actually getting quite tough to decide now! I'll eliminate The Abandoned, which is a fine episode, but probably the least memorable out of this batch.

I was disappointed by The Search Part I. Odo, one of my favorite characters, comes across too much like a moody teenager.

Past Tense 2 is out, part 2 of a not that great two parter.

I'll get rid of "Defiant." There's a lot to recommend it -- especially the Dukat material -- but it also really frustrates me. The resolution, of all those Maquis just surrendering when they were already committed to a suicide mission, is so easy. And the "we'll get you out of there, Tom" promise DEMANDS follow-up. Don't put that there if you're not going to actually go back to it!

I'm removing The Die is Cast, Garak torturing Odo is too quickly forgiven, that doesn't feel right.

This is tough. Choosing between an excellent Odo/Garak episode, and Sisko getting promoted and a tense season finale.

I will take out "THE ADVERSARY". The other has a few more memorable scenes, so it edges out.

"IMPROBABLE CAUSE" is the winner for season 3.
