FACETS rates a save for Joran Sisko and Curzon Odo alone.

The concept unfortunately doesn’t work for me. We’re told back in “Dax” that Jadzia Dax would remember doing what Curzon Dax did and how he felt about it. In “Facets” we learn that Curzon Dax was in love with Jadzia, that’s why he did what he did, and Jadzia Dax never knew it until her zhian’tara.

Also, Curzon Dax choosing Jadzia as his next host when he’s in love with her and she doesn’t know it is downright creepy.

Saving "DESTINY".

It's an important step in Sisko's Emissary arc, where we fibally see him at least reevaluate his feelings in that capacity. And Kira admits she does she him as the Emissary.

Plus, this had Tracy Scoggins. She gorgeous and just awesome.

Whilst it wasn't as strong as Crossover, Through the Looking Glass is the second part of the trilogy of MU episodes which were still pretty excellent.

DISTANT VOICES has an intriguing concept that mostly works, and some legitimate scares. Plus, you know, Garak is there.

Saving "DISTANT VOICES".

DS9 rarely went into the horror/creepy realm, but it did them good enough. This was a nice creepy vibe, and is a retroactive hint at Bashir's later revelation of his genetic enhancement.

Plus... Garak.

And I love the look of the Lethean. Damn shame we only see them once more.




Damn... ninja'ed.

Changing my vote to "HEART OF STONE".

Terrible A plot, but the B plot was excellent. Nog explaining why he wants to join Starfleet is one of his best acted scenes in the entire show. That alone merits a save from me.

"Shakaar" is pretty good. I love when we get to focus in on local Bajor issues, and this is quite a strong Winn episode.

If only they'd cast someone better as Shakaar! Ah well.

It's the worst ROTW since Aquiel, and it butchers Dax's character.

And "MERIDIAN" wins DS9 season 3... again.

And now I can post this: "MERIDIAN" is the ONLY episode in the entire franchise that has won every single time of its season. (6 times out of 6.)

In fact, "PROPHET MOTIVE" has been the runner up now 5 times. In a row. (For 2011, it was "FAMILY BUSINESS".)

PM has some genuinely funny humor, just accept that it’s a silly Ferengi story (like a lot of Ferengi stories) and go with it. You made the right call, between this and Meridian I don’t think it’s close.

For me, the saving grace of "MERIDIAN" is the B plot was fun. And, more importantly, Jeffrey Combs' first guest starring role in the franchise is here.

Wow, I sometime forget how fast these games move! Have a good night's sleep, go to work then come home to find Season 2 is finished, Season 3 has started & finished, and Season 4 is already out of the gate. I'm happy with "Meridian" 'winning' again - it couldn't happen to a more deserving episode

I did think about saving it. The A story is meh. But, the B story has Jeffrey Combs and Kira with Quark's head.
