New Eden, it was pretty boring.

New Eden. A good episode that reminded me of classic Trek, but the other episodes are more memorable and unique.

It's a toss-up between New Eden and Magic... this round. I like both equally, just not as much as the other two. I'll vote for New Eden, as I did quite enjoy the time loop fun. Seeing Lorca killed over and over was oddly hilarious.

I'm going to give "New Eden" it's 4th point and thus remove it. I liked it overall, but not as much as I enjoyed the other three still on the list; and I think many just like it because it harkns back to the 'planet of the week' old TOS format more than anything else ST: D has done to date.

Project Daedalus was a Terminator rip in a season that was itself a Terminator rip.

Magic to Make the Sanest Man Go Mad finally gets my vote. I just like the others more.

Magic was fun, but the other two episodes on the list are legit.

"Magic..." is fun, but the others are better. New round.

I'm gonna go against the grain and ding If Memory Serves. It's a fine episode, but I didn't enjoy it as much as Daedalus, which legitimately had me white-knuckled by the end.

"If Memory Serves" gets my final point. Great episode, but "Project Daedalus" was simply outstanding. Great script, well directed. I truly was sad at the end... I loved Airiam's character.

Two great episodes. But Project Daedalus is perhaps the definitive episode of Discovery thus far.

If Memory Serves gets my vote and is out

    Project Daedalus wins.

I really liked how much they did with Airiam in such a short amount of time, it shows that it is possible to develop the supporting cast without them taking over the show. I hope they do the same for Detmer, Owosekun, Rhys and Bryce just without killing them off right away.

I think I liked if Memory Serves more, but both were great, and were two good examples of why I liked S2 more than S1.

For me If Memory Serves relied a bit too much on TOS even using a clip from The Cage, I enjoyed it a lot but it felt like a bit too much fan service.

A fair winner. As much as I was ambivalent about the end of season 2, Project Daedalus is an exception; a very well written, well directed episode with a great ending.

That's an interesting winner! I think this is the first time with one of these least disliked games that I don't love the final champion. I was voting "Magic" the whole time, but "Daedalus" is definitely my least fav after that. I do think the Airiam arc is an exceptional execution of a bad idea, and I like the all-female away team and many of the directorial flourishes, but the plotting is a mess. For me, this is the point when Discovery drops the ball on their season 2 arc and never recovers it.

Whereas "If Memory Serves" is in my top 10 of all Star Trek episodes ever, and possibly top 5. I feel like I just watched "Best Of Both Worlds" get unanimously voted down in favor of "Skin Of Evil."

I definitely have a season 2 Disco rewatch in me sometime this year, I wonder if my opinion will swing favorably for "Daedalus" then...
