These are all really good. I'll give it to "The Forge", because I do hate that speech Soval makes to Forrest about just how special and exceptional and and complicated and unique humans are.

I always loved how DS9 made it clear that to all the aliens, humans are also a one-trait race (cheerful try-hards). I did not like how Enterprise went so hard on human exceptionalism instead.

The Forge is out because I still don't believe the Vulcan's needed fixing.

For the next round I vote Damage, I really don't like them stealing and justifying it with "Well, we gotta save earth" ... they're not wrong but it doesn't feel very Star Trek, the writers should have come up with a better solution. It might have worked better with a more competent captain but knowing that Archer has zero diplomatic skills and can't negotiate anything it doesn't feel right. Had Picard done this I'd probably think "Wow, he must be really desperate", with Archer it's just "Of course he did ..."

Very tough to pick. Both great episodes for different reasons. My final vote for this series...

"DAMAGE" gets it. While the dilemma is big and a good one, and it had repercussions for a while, it was nowhere near as far reaching as the repercussions of "UNITED", because so much of what became the Federation happened right here.

I'm going to vote for Damage, and in doing so, grant the victory to UNITED - in my eyes, a superior episode to almost any other Enterprise offering (including Damage).
