Spoilers The Flash - Season 6

I have only seen Infinity War and Endgame once each and that still stood out to me. Seemed closer than necessary. Did not really bother me per say. But they have their own vast DC history to reference. From the comics to other media. It’s reeks of there being a formula that all superhero stories have to follow.

You're correct: this really comes off as "we want to make this our version of the Infinity Saga" when DC has a larger history to draw on than Marvel--the classic Crisis on Infinite Earths comics are more than enough for numerous, great adaptations--the ultimate source.

I finally got around to watch Tuesday's episode this morning.
I definitely noticed the similarity between what happened to Barry here and Dr. Strange in Infinity War.
With all of the doppelgangers Barry and Team Flash have run into over the years, I'm a bit surprised it took this long for him to run into another version of his mom.
The stuff with Frost was fun.
I liked the stuff with the sisters, and Camille's new career should be interesting.
Adding a new secret organization using metahumans seems a bit unnecessary when we've already got Bloodwork and the buildup to Crisis on Infinite Earths also happening right now.

Ooops, on the name thing.
Yeah, I am a bit surprised they haven't at least given her some kind of code name. I think she's one of the only metas who doesn't have one.

Maybe it's just setting something up that will be dealt with after the Crisis.

Wait. So The Flash is fast enough that when he moves people are basically statues, why then does he choose to run INTO the energy waves? Couldn’t he have just gone around? While the beams are moving as fast as light, there’s a human being moving at human speeds aiming the beams.

I guess the answer is: drama.

Yeah, I kept saying, OK Flash, time to duck.

yep.

I get it, fights need to have stakes and one of those is physical danger. And it’s challenging when your hero can outrun and out dodge practically anything. But running INTO the beam seems like a dumb solution.

Maybe if she emitted her waves omnidirectionally rather than targeted in that moment and he HAD to run through it I would buy it.

But with that logic he should be able to defeat almost all his enemies who is no speedster

These shows sometimes have problems with narrative compression. This episode is set just a day after the previous one (Barry says Romero has been dead 24 hours), and yet Cecile has already switched from prosecution to defense, and Iris's new intern at the paper who started out in the last episode has already settled in and gotten a scoop.

It's incongruous that Barry was upset about Frost seemingly killing Romero early in the episode yet wasn't bothered when her plan literally blew him apart at the climax. I guess it was because he'd determined in the interim that Romero was already dead, but that could've been made clearer.

So "Nash" Wells is looking for an element called eternium, which apparently is from Shazam! lore: https://www.cbr.com/flash-shazam-eternium-rock-of-eternity/

I hope it's not much longer before Team Flash learns what happened to Earth-2 over in Arrow. Really, these teams need to stay in contact more.
