Spoilers The Flash - Season 6

There really don't need restrictions on curse words. Most people are adults and kids hear them all the time and how is anyone really hurt by them. I do understand the need warnings for some adult situations and violence but a curse is just a curse. Jason

Ok, so my 2 cents....

The episode felt a bit rushed, with some moments feeling like something was edited out. Other than that, a nice start to the new season, I'm curious enough about the new villian.
Just to clarify, maybe it went to fast.... Did he inject himself with HLH? Was he already sick? Or did it mean he was only carrying it, but not sick yet?

Also, yes, chinstrap again!!!!

Are you talking about Godspeed?

If so, the dialogue implied they were some kind of duplicates who were to shut down when stopped by Flash, for an unknown purpose. I don’t think the one we saw is the actual Godspeed we saw last season.

Why is masculinity so fragile?

Because it's been the pampered default for so long that it hasn't needed to be strong.

Of course, there's a healthier kind of masculinity that doesn't define itself based on myths of superiority or toughness and thus isn't so brittle under stress. But it's been regrettably marginalized in our society.

You shouldn't be. The show comes off as a pandering, misandrist, SJW commercial. No interest. Of course, this is a Flash thread, which is why I'm staying out of the Batwoke thread. The only episode I plan on watching is the crossover.
Seems like you need to get with the program

The time of white men and their vile, torturous dominance is coming to an end

You will continue to be bombarded with “SJW” material because it is a true reflection of the glorious, border free world we will soon be living in. If you don’t like it then i suggest you just throw away your tv and stare at the wall instead. At least then we won’t have to hear about your disgusting privilege

This guy must have thought it was white boy day. It’s not white boy day, is it?

I’ve reported your post and its obscene misogyny

The Flash comes off the exact opposite. He's a hero being a hero. I hope that doesn't change.
What on earth do you know about being a hero?

First off, you can't Blame Kate for sleeping all day, becuase she's fighting crime all night.

Second, the second Barry started opening black holes, in the middle of their city, and rewriting time to help himself and his immediate friends/family, he became a super villain. Although the secret inhumane prison should have been our first clue that Barry thought that he was above the law.

By the way, isn't it weird that both Supergirl and The Flash had season premieres in which the heroes had to go into a "black hole" at the climax? Either it's poor planning, or it's some sort of Crisis setup where parallel events are happening in both universes. (Would've been funny if they'd bumped into each other on the inside.)

So Barry's "vision of the future" lets them set up the version of the Crisis that happened in the comics -- the antimatter waves, the Flash's iconic disintegration. Which reinforces my expectation that they're setting up the familiar version of the story in order to change it in their version.

I get the impression that the Gideon earbud is going to be a regular thing from now on, since Barry was still using it in the climax rather than just in the accelerator. I guess Morena Baccarin has more free time now that Gotham is over.

Both episodes so far have set up metahuman "villains" who ended up being innocent/harmless and set up as recurring characters. I wonder where they're going with them. Yet they're also setting up some secret black-ops organization exploiting metahumans, which is weird because I thought Bloodwork was going to be the big bad in the first part of the season.

So the Flash's top speed is 1/80 c? At about 1/474th of that speed, he'd hit orbital velocity and become effectively weightless, his feet no longer having traction on the ground, making it impossible to run any faster. But I guess the Speed Force excuses everything...

I've been in a Buffy The Vampire Slayer State of Mind this year considering I watched that series and Angel for the first time. Did Frost try to draw Buffy Summers? I mean there was the girl and she was holding a stake. Ok, maybe she got the hair a little off, but my first thought was Buffy. Also considering The CW used to be The WB and UPN.

And fans usually complain they didn't make him as fast as he is in the comics... 1/80th c is a light jog to comic Barry.

I enjoyed the last episode, though I have to admit that Barry's looking at the billions of possible timelines sure reminded me of Doctor Strange doing the same thing in Infinity War. And only one outcome where he dies saves his Earth?

That said, the Crisis storyline is by far the most fascinating across the Arrowverse. I wish it would get to Supergirl, which clearly needs it after last week's snoozefest.

Barry is everything a hero should be. This is the second week in a row where we see his tremendous heart, which is more important than his tremendous speed.

Can't actually disagree re: Supergirl. The show has been off its feed so far in the new season, and the kind of "Crisis" setup Flash and Arrow are doing would be more interesting than almost anything Sg currently has going on.

No, Frost held up a photo of what she was trying to draw, and it wasn't Buffy -- more some sort of ice goddess, I think. I wondered if it was an homage to some variant form of Frost from the comics.

Yeah. The first episode was ok, but the second one was really boring. They've lost the magic of the show. When the show started, she was a female Superman, which is what she should be. But the writers kind of put her more in a Marvel/XMen kind of world to an extent, while focusing on other characters, and it's torpedoed the show.

But Arrow has been on point, and so has Flash, and I think that's because of the Crisis. Everything outside the Crisis is a bit stale throughout the Arrowverse.
