Spoilers The Flash - Season 3

Why did Grod and his army wear football shoulderpads like they were the Monsters of the Midway? Did they need protection from weak humans?

I watch it live, so I didn't, but I was confused that it wasn't on the normal channel.

Is this a permanent change?

I don't watch it live either so I have my tivo set to record and I think it's probably for as long the voice is on.

It would be nice if they actually bothered to tell viewers that it's moving.

Felton knows

^^
I now wonder if Julian's "forest casual" look for the Gorilla City episode was his choice and not the costume department's :D

I feel like I have seen all this before. Not just another evil speedster but also another good speedster lost in the Speed Force. The story beats and emotional reactions are the same too. I wonder if the actors have questioned why they are asked to repeat themselves?

"Not your fault."

What the fuck? It's all entirely Barry Allen's fault. Caitlyn's little misstep is barely a footnote here.

How long before the gang realizes that the only way to protect themselves is to smother him in his sleep?

I love what they call these places... Big Belly Burger, Jitters Coffee. Not the most marketable names. :rommie:

Which is probably why they're untrademarked and available for use by DC.

Okay, Savitar is definitely someone who knows the team well, and vice versa. I particularly noted the bit where he said "You know me, Barry -- I love a good myth." Who do we know who's into mythology?

And he's definitely saying that he is "the future Flash," not "the future, Flash." Could he actually be Wally? Or even a future version of Barry?

Why is it that Cisco was able to vibe Wally into the original, unaltered timeline? Last time, they vibed into a slightly altered timeline due to intervening changes. Then again, Iris didn't have the ring on at the end of the episode, so I guess the engagement's off.

I liked this episode a lot. Some interesting moments, and a solid story. I just have one criticism: the last thing, the absolute last thing this show needed was more f$%^*&g Barry/Iris relationship drama. I mean, I know this is the CW, but this is just irritaiting. At some point, the drama needs to settle down. There is so much more going on in this show, and that specific relationship drama and the will they/won't they crap was played out a long time ago. Besides that though, it was a solid episode. I liked seeing Savitar do more, and Wally's capture was cool looking.

I am starting to wonder if Savitar is The Flash. He keeps saying "I'm the future, Flash" or something like that. But, maybe there shouldn't be the comma in that statement, and he's actually saying "I'm the future Flash". Maybe a version that was farther along in the future then the Barry that put him in the speed force, or a Flash from an alternate reality. That's just my crackpot theory and I'm not saying its that likely, but its what I've been thinking about for awhile.
