Spoilers The Flash - Season 3

Since they're borrowing names willy-nilly, why not have her be the "Ice" of the Berlantiverse?

Unless they're planning on bringing in her and Fire at some stage. Sexy green flaming Brazilians win out.

I was thinking something similar myself, actually. They could do a Fire/Ice homage with Firestorm and Frost. Honestly, with so many characters like Vibe, Vixen and Martian Manhunter already in play, they could do a lot of Justice League Detroit / JLI homages. I was surprised they didn't do a Captain Atom storyline with Firestorm and the General during Flash S1.

The Berlantiverse also has a Steel. in JLA Detroit Steel was Hank Heywood's grandson as well. This may be a different grandson than JLA Detroit, but close enough. To complete the cast of the noobs of JLA Detroit, they just need Cyndy Reynolds (Gypsy).

Yup, just forgot him in the list. I was thinking it previously, but it must have not come out while I was typing.

- So a holographic kaiju stomps around a downtown several times, and no one notices he causes no actual damage apart from some blown transformers? Okayyyy....

- We never did get an explanation for why erasing Eobard from the timeline didn't restore the Earth-1 Wells he murdered to the present, did we?

Or where that Wells was during Flashpoint.

Supergirl may be girl of steel, but Thea and Dr. Stein have nerves of steel. Supergirl blasts a heat ray right past their heads and they dont even flinch :D

EDIT: Felicity -> Thea. My mistake.

I don't care.
That scene alone is worth the price of admission.
And Diggle is getting better. He didn't even freak just a little.
:guffaw:

Given some of the people he has worked with, he shouldn't find the abilities shown in that trailer too freaky.
On the other hand, it is Digg. We've seen him wierded out before even after working with Metahumans.

I know it's only in the Fight Club video , but I'd have liked Digg see J'onn turn up:biggrin:

Stein is part of a guy who's head is on fire. Heat doesn't phase him.

Nice to see a three-member superpowered Team Flash fighting the bad guy together. I think there will be more of that in the future; there was a recent behind-the-scenes video about the costume designer that teased Vibe and Killer (?) Frost costumes. And good to see that Caitlin's turn to villainy didn't take. Although it seems she's still wearing power-suppression cuffs for now, so maybe that isn't completely resolved.

And oh, yeah, it's a 4-person team now, since Wally's joined the speedster club. I wonder how many of them will be on deck for fighting aliens next week. I'm a bit surprised the end of the episode didn't foreshadow the aliens' arrival. Unless that thunderstorm at the end was more than just a directorial callback to Barry's origin.

Speaking of the ending, the reveal of Alchemy's identity is one of the least surprising surprises ever. A bit disappointing, too. I found Julian's nominal motivations effective enough without ulterior motives.

But...I totally didn't not see that coming!

Seems like they also cast the other acolytes as similar physical types...fair-haired guys with facial growth. Like we needed a clue or something.

This might be my favorite episode of The Flash since season 1. Caitlin's story has been the best stuff the series has done in a long long while, and We are really starting to see consequences of Flashpoint. I was worried after the premiere that everything was swept under a rug but it's been really good the last couple of weeks. I kind of wish they had cut out the reveal though. So much for the red herring last week. Also, it kind of softened Barry and Julian's deal about Barry quitting, somewhat. I thought that scene and then he leaves with lightning flashes going off would have been a great ending, especially since I know we're not going to be having this storyline next week. Still, it was a great episode and Danielle Panabaker has been really excellent during this storyline. This has been some of her best work on the series.
