Given that Legends of Tommorow's current narrative takes place post-Flashpoint relative to Thawne's presence, I fail to see how either his actions or the Legends' actions could've possibly been responsible for that particular alternate timeline.

Well, Diggles only known child was a girl before the Flashpoint event, and it wasn't until after Barry allowed him mother to be murdered that it turned into a boy. A boy that the Legends met before the Flashpoint event ever occurred.

So something odd is going on there. Maybe instead of traveling through time, Barry accidentally went into another world altogether or something; one almost parallel to the original, but not quite. (I'm not very confident about that idea, but it's a possibility I guess.)

Either way, as many people have been complaining, the combined series are so painfully inconsistent that it could be just about anything.

You know, after watching Legends of Tomorrow, I wonder if the changes in Barry's timeline aren't his fault at all, but the consequences of what the Legends have been doing this season. And the only reason Barry noticed is because he was in the Speed Force when some (or all) of them happened.

No, its the other way around.... Flashpoint caused Reverse Flash to be freed from the past / his time loop - Harrison Wells prison - because of Barry, Eobard is out running around again (probably leaving a time remnant to fulfill his duties in the past) and thus is free to start messing with the past on Legends - Barry caused all of the Legends problems this year, not the other way around. In fact, I wonder if there is any way to set Flashpoint before the LoT finale last year, which could explain Connor Hawke.

I just noticed I never commented on last week's episode.
I love that they made Jessie a speedster, and I really liked the story we got here with her and her dad.
After this episode I'm starting to think Wally will go looking for Alchemy to get powers, rather than the other way around.
The Magenta story was really good, it was nice to get a really sympathetic villain.
IGN talked to Violett Beane about last week and this week's episodes of The Flash (and The Leftovers).

• I figured that Barry and Iris should just do whatever they do in private. Why involve Joe at all? Then that last kiss at the table helped it all make sense. But still, why make a big thing out of it.
• We joked that we'd get a different version of Harrison Wells every season and sure enough... Gives Cavanagh a chance to branch out, showcase his talents and keep things interesting.
• Poor Caitlin is going gray. And talk about lavish apartments.

I love that they made Jessie a speedster, and I really liked the story we got here with her and her dad.

I like her too. She's a welcome addition to the show. I was wondering how they'd keep her on but it looks like she'll be a frequent guest, hopping universes when needed. That is until they make her a regular next season or something.

Good interview by the way. Like her, a lot of us thought that she'd become a speedster halfway through last season. Also, she mentioned that the other speedsters have leather outfits but Barry's has more fabric. Hadn't really noticed.

Alchemy's motives are not really established. He's obviously not a nice man(?)

"New Wells" totally has the personality of Cavanagh's title character from his first series "ED". I love it. But I wonder if they will stick with him. At any time they could bring back Harry. Obviously the actor is available!

Really didn't like the Top even though they worked in the green and yellow color scheme and her spinning at the end. She has Vertigos powers but Arrow ruined that.
Scudder was ok and seeing Snart again was great.
The new Wells is a wait and see he seems a bit off.
Caitlin is catching cold, nice.

Not as good as last week's, but I really like Jesse Quick's costume. It looks terrific. I'm not completely sold on the domino mask, but the suit looks great on her. Too bad she's already left.

You know, last season a lot of people were assuming that Supergirl would have to be folded into Earth-1 somehow to allow crossovers, and I replied that it seemed more likely that they'd just continue exploring and expanding the multiverse idea and giving the characters more ways to cross dimensions so that characters from different Earths could interact routinely. So far, it's playing out pretty much just as I predicted. Between Vibe's powers and Harry's inventions, they're now able to contact and access parallel Earths at will, which should make it easy enough to set up Supergirl crossovers.

That's actually where I first became aware of her -- and entranced by her. It was so ridiculous to me that she was playing the friend-zoned "plain" girl that the hero overlooked in his pursuit of Mary Elizabeth Winstead's glamorous popular girl, because I thought Panabaker was the more lovely and charming of the two by a huge margin. (Although I liked Winstead better in Scott Pilgrim than in Sky High, perhaps because she was playing a nicer character. With cooler hair.)

I suspect that Earth-2 Harry will come back for keeps somehow. I think his reluctance to accept "H.R." was because he didn't really want to leave the team. And that reluctance was never actually resolved, just kind of quietly swept aside. Which makes me think there's a shoe yet to drop. Maybe H.R. will turn out to have something wrong with him and they'll need to get Harry back.

I wonder about the Wells who was a mime. Is that whole Earth a planet of mimes?

Come to think of it, why did this message only get picked up by versions of Harrison Wells? Surely other Earths must have geniuses that could receive the tachyon transmission. Why didn't they get a message from some alternate Martin Stein? Or Maxwell Lord? Or Grodd? (Or Reed Richards? Wrong multiverse...)

The Flash's Danielle Panabaker On The Invasion! Crossover, And Why She's Excited Caitlin Is Single

I'm sure that there was something in the design of the riddle that Harry intended to be uniquely apparent to himself.

I liked almost everythinh about this episode, but there were two things that bugged me:
- The new Wells acts like a parody of an Autistic person with ADHD, which is really off-putting and borderline offensive and does both the show and Tom Cavanagh a major disservice

- If you're going to bring Wentworth Miller back, actually bring his character back for real instead of wasting his presence on flashbacks and holograms

I love this burgeoning romance between Wally and Jessie, and hope she's not gone too long because she's a very welcome addition to the show. I also want to see more superheroics from her, and we can't if she's not on Earth-1.

I liked Scutter and Rosa as villains, and think they did a nice job with the character effects for their powers, although calling Rosa "Top" because she could induce vertigo really doesn't make much sense to me.

I was disappointed that Tom Felton's Julian Albert was absent this week, but at least he got a name-drop.

E1 Caitlin turning into Killer Frost should be fun to watch, although I don't see the point of her not coming clean to at least Barry about the situation. I also hope they don't do the predictable thing with her and turn her evil because it'd be neat to see her use her powers for the benefit of Team Flash instead of in opposition to them, especially since we've already seen that with her E2 doppelganger.

On the whole, this was a very good episode, but wasn't quite on par with the previous 3 because of the things I mentioned earlier.

I appreciate the little Easter Eggs to DC history that probably a very small number of viewers will get. McCulloch being the name of the Earth 2 Mirror Master Wells mentioned. During the late 80s Sam Scudder was dead and that was his replacement. I know that because that was the MM who got a Who's Who entry when Imstrated reading comics.

Similar to how on Arrow Curtis Holt mentioned his childhood wrestling hero Terry Sloane as inspiration. Who in the comics was the original Mr Terrific.
