Spoilers The Flash - Season 2

Traditional iris means Barry's girlfriend/wife who is a reporter.

I'd like that, too. But, you know what I meant

Along with no Joe West (although they definitely wouldn't use that in the movie, since its a TV only thing and not something the comics did),a nd without Barry/Iris knowing each other as kids. Basically, Iris from the comics circa 1956-July 2011 (although obviously more like the more modern stuff, not the kind of generic character of the silver age).

That said, I'm sure the movie will be terrible, so if they even use Iris she'll probably be a psychotic, murderous dominatrix who is the true killer of Barry's mother or something equally Snyder-ish. With Snyder's style (which, despite what WB and Snyder has tried to say, will probably be the style of all the DC movies) she could be played by Rob Schneider and it probably wouldn't be any better or worse then any actress considering the material they'll be given.

(Sorry)

No Kryptonians on Earth 1, might mean Krypton is still around, and (a version of) Kara's family still stands, who could take her in, and she wouldn't have to slum it in the sticks (Earth) anymore.

Barry is selfish not to mention this, and Kara is a dummy for not figuring it out herself.

Even if it's not really her family, it's still almost sorta Krypton.

PS...

"Oh? Your world is gone? Crumbs. I know how to time travel. How about we go back and rescue your mommy and daddy before your planet blows up, or maybe possibly stop it from blowing up?"

From what I can tell this hasn't become the standard version, so I don't really see why the movie should have to do it too.

I can understand why some people would be upset by this, because many more people watch the show than read the comics so for many a black Iris is the "standard" version.

However, I don't think any one character's race should be cemented, because that in itself defeats the purpose of making a point that race doesn't matter. I see no reason why we shouldn't have a black Barry Allen and a white Iris in some future version. So saying a character should be black for all time isn't any better than saying a character should be white for all time.

I do think representation is still important, but DCEU seems to be doing all right on that front, we already have a black Perry White and a black Deadshot in the universe, I see no reason to believe they're gonna stop there with inclusivity.

They might use brilliant scientist Ira West in the movie. Good for Barry to have a physicist on speed dial.

I just don't see Iris' race as a factor in the character. She's Barry's significant other and a journalist. Nothing about that means "white". Its about as important as Grant Gustin's haircut. ( it's not a flat top)

I hope tonight's episode is amazing. We need a big holy S moment on this show, especially after the last two weeks. Being three weeks before the end of the season I want to be excited for that fact. Unfortunately I'm not at this point.

Well, you can take a look at the Wests' dining room and know that they have the same table, chairs, and china cabinet that Velocity does. I get a chuckle every time I see it and wonder if they went shopping at The Room Store like I did. That is definitely exciting...to me.

The blue lighting...why? especially when Zoom's just standing there. It's as if he's using a lot of speed force doing things Barry or Reverse Flash did without their respective lighting...

I still think he's not cured.

Oh, wonder if Barry is going to get a new costume out of this? Yep, looking like Jay Garrick of e2 is actually Henry "Garrick".

I'm guessing Barry jumped forward into the future or another world, and will have to get back in time for the season finale fight.

Garrick is Henry's mom's maiden name--That ain't no accident, folks!

We were right. Recreating the accident affected Wally and Jesse, and Barry was burned to a crisp.

This is getting me excited! Cn't wait for the actual reveal....

And going back...i wonder if what we saw a couple weeks erlier actually WAS the trip to Erth-SG, or merely HOW Barry went there... he seemd to imply he visited Earth 3, which hs not happened yet... we'll see

Christian Bale would've sounded less silly had he had a Tony Todd voice changer. Though it's a little weird when Zoom changes voice mid sentence.

I don't think I'd last long stuck in a room with no toilet. Guess the parents weren't too concerned leaving two young people in a room with nothing to do. ;)

Not too surprised to see Wally get zapped especially with his recent admiration of the Flash and we get Jesse as well. Flash has a lot of speedsters, Arrow has a lot of physical fighters and Supergirl has a lot of powerful Kryptonians and aliens. Prob for the best, I imagine Ollie would not do so well against Kara's foes.

Barry waited too long to go through the particle accelerator explosion, but I guess that was a necessary plot element. He blamed himself for the police officers' deaths, and now he knew he had to risk his life to regain his superspeed.

I didn't know who Rupture was and was surprised he was Cisco's brother's Earth-2 doppelganger. A one-dimensional villain, he didn't really make that much of an impression.

So the real Jay Garrick (the man in the Iron Mask?) is Earth-2's Henry Allen. Nice. It's a fitting to make John Wesley Shipp the original Flash again.
