Spoilers The Flash - Season 2

I was one of the people you talk about, and my asking about why people are watching the show was because the people who don't like the show have been watching since the beginning, and after every episode they have done nothing but complain about how horrible the show is. I can understand if you like a show and it goes downhill, like Flash is, but what baffled me was the fact that these people hated the show pretty much from the moment it started, never liked anything about it, and yet they still watched every episode. Personally, if I don't like the first one or two episodes of a show, I will just stop watching,

I don't mind people making critisizms, it was the fact that the same people were making pretty much the same complaints week after week, after week after week.

I was one of the people who kept watching despite being generally disappointed. I did it because I love superheroes and there was just (barely) enough good signs to give me hope that it was going to pick up, and eventually because Benoist rather grew on me. There were even several moments throughout the season when I thought 'Ok, now we're going to really get somewhere'. But we never did. So that was generally the focus of my comments.

The fact that you would choose not to watch more easily than I would really doesn't mean anything at all. Everyone has the same right to join in the discussion, whether you like the focus of their comments or not.

It's hurt the Supergirl thread because of it. There's some posters who basically hate watch the show and honestly it's not fun having a conversation when there's so much hate for the show that you love that you should feel bad for liking it.

Exactly.

If other people disliking a show makes you feel bad for liking it, you have bigger problems than internet discussions.

If, on the other hand, it's just not fun anymore because you just want a thread to hang out and talk about how great the show is, then I submit that you're doing the exact same thing you're complaining about. So when you say 'why don't you just stop watching the show?' I can say 'why don't you just stop reading the thread?'

Because that's the bottom line: the thread is there for anyone who wants to discuss their opinion of the subject, as often as they want to discuss it. You know that going in. If you wanted a positive discussion only thread, you're free to create one somewhere else.

Well, I don't have anywhere else to discuss this stuff, and I like discussing this stuff, so I really have no other option. I've posted here for a while, and I feel like I've gotten to know the other regular posters here, so I'm a lot more interested in talking with them than I would be strangers.
I'm not saying I want a positive discussions only thread. It just felt like people were spending so much time complaining that those of who simply wanted to discuss the events of the episodes were being overrun by people making the same complaints week after week. The show wasn't perfect and did deserve some criticisms from time to time, but it was just starting to feel like that was all people were doing, even when the show didn't deserve it.

Just click ignore on the people who are negative and insulting and mansplain to everyone. That's what I do. :ouch:

It does get a little confusing when you see people responding to blocked people and you don't know what they're responding to, though

I don't like to do that because then I could miss stuff that I specifically want to address, or miss stuff in a different thread that I might want to see.

someone edited scenes of the Flash departure on his own series and arrival on Supergirl together. They added their own surprises on what he saw on his journey...

Best answer I came up with was if the Flash episode was supposed to air before Supergirl, which it definitely should have, then the flash Episode would have to be a complete asshole to ruin/spoil/leak everything that happened in an upcoming episode of Supergirl.

Instory however, Barry has been continuously told that other universes have secrets that screw over people's heads if they find out their their mirror universe counterpart has a smaller bottom, or happens to be dead. It took Barry weeks to talk about his doppleganger's fatherinlaw Joe dying on earth 2, because Harry told him that loose lips sink ships.

I can only assume that for some unexplained reason Flash immediately lost his memory of visiting that Earth once he got back. Why else wouldn't he mention it to his buds?

Except he didn't meet a single doppelganger, anyway, so he literally has no reason not to tell people where he was.

He proved the existence of alien life.

Either there are Kyptonians on Earth 1, up to no good, or Barry gets to train telescopes at where Kara said that Krypton is, and maybe it's there, but maybe it isn't. (ftl transit, means that Earth will still be seeing Krypton for thousands of years to come, unless Barry (or someone else?) invents an FTL telescope using maybe tacyons.)

That's huge.

In fact if Barry wanted to win against Zoom quickly without getting his hands dirty, on Earth 1 or Earth 2 if either Universe had a reason to "receive" Fort Roz, it would be a fantastic idea to trick Zoom into angering Astra and Non.

He proved the existence of alien life.
Forget alien life. He desperately wants to cross into another universe, and he just accidentally crossed into one. I can't think of information that's any more unsuitable for withholding at that point. The whole episode was literally set up around the reason for telling everyone where he went.

That, and there's the risk that Zoom might find a way to cross over the same way. That should trouble him just a little.

Oh yeah, and now that you mention it, the possibility that local Kryptonians might help him stop Zoom is also very real. Not telling people that aliens are real, and surprisingly powerful is... a significant omission.

Can Zoom steal speed from Kryptonians?
I don't know about that, but he could join forces and run with Earth 2 Astra so she can throw him so we can cross to Earth 1. Only to find himself stranded on SG's Earth instead. Since last episodes Barry proved to be incapable to make any sane decision against him, hopefully Supergirl can deal with him more cleverly. She may be rash, but I hope she wouldn't randomly capitulate against a speedster serial killer.

But any excuse to give Laura Benanti some roles around those Earths would do, though.

Obviously there are real world reasons why Barry very quickly dropped the subject and while it may seem odd that in an episode about trying to open a portal to another world, he'd do exactly that and not mention it, remember that the first thing he said was "how long was I gone?".

When it instantly became clear that he was gone for no time at all I imagine his first thought was "oh crap, I time travelled again!"
I know it's hardly a perfect explanation, but it seems reasonable given his precious experiences that he'd think the best thing to do is keep quiet until he'd figured out what actually happened. By which point it all seemed a bit moot.

Maybe they'l mention it later that he told them later off-screen (bit of cop-out) or maybe they'll wait for any future potential crossover to let Team Flash in on it.
