Well I have to disagree about Patrick Stewart. While I do think that he's a good actor, there's A LOT of actors that are better, at least IMO. And yeah, like me and Vash said, Sinclair doesn't stick around for that long. I liked him though, he wasn't perfect but I still liked him.

I really love these characters - especially Vir and Lennier. *sigh*

Interesting that your favorite characters are Vir and Lennier though... I mean, I like them okay (well, until what they do to Lennier's character in season 5, anyway! ) but I think my favorites are Londo (IMO, the best character in all of scifi - PERIOD), G'Kar, Delenn, and Sheridan.

I love Vir for his good heart and seeming naivete. He reminds me of myself.

Lennier I love because of his devotion to Delenn. And for some reason, the way Bill Mumy plays him just really speaks to me. A character like that could become really one-note and annoying, but man, I BELIEVE in Lennier.

I love all the characters pretty much. Steven Franklin can get on my nerves. ("Shadow Dancing" drove me nuts - great episode, but I do NOT want to see a bloody man crawling through corridors arguing with himself in the next to the last episode of the season and in the middle of the biggest battle with the Shadows yet.) And Talia Winters - the actress annoyed me. But everyone else is great, and it is VERY hard to pick a favorite. I tend to side with overlooked characters, so Vir and Lennier tend to ride high on my list. But the list changes from day to day, depending on what episodes I've seen recently.

I started to watch the "Z'ha'dum" commentary but had to turn it off when JMS started talking about "Sleeping in Light." Doesn't he realize some people are watching these things for the first time? Why give away spoilers?!? *huffs*

As for the JMS commentaries...I never watch those anyway.

Props to B-5 and to its most excellent characters imo G’kar’s character turned out to be to most surprising because of how he changed.

Also I really liked the way the show ended and how you could play back the compressed footage …..that together with the musical score brought tears to my eyes. I just couldn’t believe it was over.

....anyway 3 more days and a wake up till the good times roll.

Yeah, I think the only reason I'd ever wanna listen to JMS's commentaries again is if I couldn't sleep.

Anyway, I got the results of my last two finals today. I'm glad all my grades were B or higher, and I'm especially surprised that I got an A- in Comp 170 (Perl, JSP) which I was actually a little worried about.

Man, all this B5 commentary made me take a second look to make sure I was on the right BBS

I'd like to throw in that I also have Animatrix DVD, and I think it's fantastic. A couple folks mentioned it above, but it got lost in the B5 flood. Anyway, carry on

I'm gonna change the topic again, this time to Stargate. I just finished S2 today, and I also watched the S3 pilot. Man those were a couple of damn fun eps. Anyway, I've been looking for S4 at local stores and I can't find it, which sucks. Hopefully I'll find it soon though, cos I'll be done with S3 soon, lol.

I have seen bits and pieces - I know some of what happens in Season 5. But I've never seen the finale, and since everyone speaks so highly of it, I'm kinda looking forward to seeing it unspoiled. But I do adore Londo and G'kar too, and John and Delenn, and Ivanova and Marcus and Garibaldi and... pfft! I love 'em all! And Cartagia is just creepy!

Perhaps. I'll let you know when I've finally made it through Season 5.

I have this in-born need to listen to commentaries. It's a genetic weakness, I suspect. But JMS' ramblings...he tells you the same stuff every time!

Sakrysta...the finale is *definitely* great. Sad (I cry when I watch it) but definitely great. So you have heard right about that.

Actually, the ending of season 5 is very good...the last few episodes. I don't much care for the beginning of season 5 though. My most hated character in all of Babylon 5 turns up at the beginning of season 5 and is incredibly annoying for several episodes...

But after that storyline is over with, the show gets better again and has a good ending.

Kind of ironic that a mod would put a negative spin on such a great achievement.

I say yes we do keep this thread. It's not every day a thread in this forum gets up to even 500, let alone 1000.

EDIT: I know by the time I wake up tommarow, this thread will be closed and this will probably be my final post.

It's been really fun posting this this thread for the last 4 months talking about DS9, The Matrix, and even got a small post in there about B5 even though it's been ages since I saw it. (My question still remines, what ever happened to babylon 1-4 ) Thanks Admiralelectron for creating these community type threads in here. It's been fun getting to know everyone better and I don't mean just through DS9. You never knew what kind of wacky stuff you'd learn in this thread, like Vash's little Dare in the A Lounge about something having to do with nakedness or something.

Glad to hear it. I've seen most of the Byron arc, so I know what you mean about the beginning of the season.
