Well, guys....a ways up the line in this thread, I told you about a contest I'd entered on the BBS I post at related to The Sims. I entered a contest where the goal was to build a house out of a TV show or movie. As you all remember, I entered with Rivendell.
Well, after a bit of a cheating scandal was uncovered and sorted out....the winners were *finally* announced yesterday, and turns out I came in second place.
I'm actually fairly pleased with this. Would have liked first, obviously...but there is some consolation in the fact that the first place entry was also a LOTR-related house.
If anyone is interested, I can post a link to the first place house so you can see it too....

I was thinking that this thread would get up to 1000 last week; I can't believe it's still going. Hey Vash, are you done with Season 7 yet. I might lap you because I'm on the second run through of the series, at the end of Season 6. Unfortunatly the next two episodes are the lowest point for DS9 in it's entire run, so I've been putting it off.
Anyway, today I finally went to see "The Passion of the Christ." I'm a devoted Catholic, so this might sound biased, but this movie is the most emotional movie I have ever seen in my life. I'm still reflecting on it, and plan to see it again on Good Friday.

^IIRC, you're too late admiralelectron. We've already had a Matrix discussion here. May have been a small one, or maybe just some talk about Matrix avs before one of the movies came out. Heck, I dunno, and I ain't about to go back & search

To be honest, I am satisfied and quite pleased this thread had stay on topic as long as it had before shifting into other subjects re LOTR and Matrix. Mind you I do enjoy watching these movies as well. However I feel it's time we give this thread a final hoorah before it get shut down either for length or shifting off topic.
Maybe it's just our nature of being a Niner - We have a tendency of thinking and doing everything all at the same time. It fits my nature perfectly.

-Campe98 ruined my plan to be the first to finish watching Season 7.
-Vash was awarded the "Missing Mod Award" in the Flaptain's Lounge (an action that resulted in the creation of 2 new threads - 1 in here, and 1 in the lounge).
-I started posting in here as a Commander and I'm now a Rear Admiral. Difference: 3500+ posts.
-Jammer never posted in this thread.

Yes I will miss this thread. Its brought me much joy in moments of pain. Sometimes, out of nowhere, I would just log on and see how the old girl was faring. To put her out to pasture seems like such a shame. She was in the prime of her life. Over 140 days... thats longer than certain insects...
