Admiralelectron, here's a tip: if you don't like a bit of off-topic conversation in your threads, in the future, DON'T START THREADS LIKE THIS ONE. If all we posted in a countdown thread was numbers of days left to release, it would be a pretty doggone boring thread indeed. Threads like these are INTENDED to be 'community' type threads where forum members have a bit of fun and joke around. We allow these threads to exist because their existence is certainly better than having off-topic stuff being addressed all over the forum, in threads about DS9 episodes and issues.

All year long, we have used these countdown threads as a way for the members of this forum to bond and have a bit of fun with each other. Countdown threads, by their very NATURE, are "spammish". So you SHOULD be expecting some chit-chat type postings when you start a thread like this. Please keep that in mind in the future.

And to everyone else participating in the LOTR-related discussion about what we may want to do as a forum to celebrate ROTK and the TT DVD release....why don't you move your discussion to the season 6 countdown thread, okay? I left that one open and it already has the Matrix Revolutions release planning chat in it anyway.

Just curious to know what episode are you guys up to? I just watched "His Way" which I still love. I've been bouncing all over the place with this season. Not as disciplined as most of you guys. So, I believe now I have about 5 more eps to go. However, I will wait to watch the last episode the night before S7 comes out.
OK fellas I think it's time to continue with the countdown.

^ Hey none taken. If I corrected all the misspellings I see on this and other boards however, I'd have a pretty long day to say the least. Although you might want to check out ENT board I've seen many spelling atrocities there. Anyway, as far as us being off topic hell these countdowns can be down right boring so what do you expect! Next time you might want to post about something a little less limiting.

I went through the entire season during the weekend that I bought it. I'm working through it again at a slower pace before S7 comes out.

Wow that's fast. What was your favorite episode in S6? Did you enjoy one even more after watching it a second time? I know I did with "His Way" I really enjoyed that one a lot.

My favourite episode of season 6? Don't make me choose!



Seriously though, I'd have to say Inquistion is my favourite. No real reason, but I think that introducing Section 31 was pretty cool.

One that I'm enjoying more then the first time I watched it? Rocks and Shoals. I didn't think it was that great of an episode before, but it's starting to grow on me. The Sound of her Voice comes in pretty close after that, especially the Chief's speech at the end.

Unfortunatly for me, I'm up to "Profit and Lace." I'm not looking foward to it, but I guess I'll have to give it a chance being the completest I am.

True, most of the time I ignore it. I really only make a deal out of it if the misspelling makes the word another word, especially when that other word has a meaning that makes the misspelled sentence funny.

The only exception to this is loose vs lose. That one drives me up the wall.

True, even though I didn't particulary care for the breen all that much. I don't really understand how they can go from this weak alien race who lives in freezing cold (Indiscretion) to someone being captured by the jems (By Inferno's light) to the strongest unbeatable adversary in the final season.

Sorry to break it to you electron, but these DS9 DVD countdown threads have become "DS9 friends threads", whether you or anyone else likes it or not. Yes, a lot of us Niners are Matrix fans, LOTR fans, Farscape fans, etc, and simply discussing the technical details of the sets gets boring and tired really fast. We keep these threads so alive because A: we are friends, and B: we have many common interests. It's commendable really. These threads have always been my favorite on this BBS.

But don't worry, you only have 12 more days to suffer through it.

^ I think maybe it wasn't so much they were the strongest or unbeatable I believe they were just the added force that the Founders needed to ensure an easy victory with the Federation. I liked them because they just looked so sweet. However, I do wonder why the writers decided to give them an alien dialect instead of making them audible in English like they did with all the other aliens on the show.

Admiralelectron, the comments made earlier in this thread were NOT about LOTR. The detailed plot of the movie was NOT discussed or anything like that. Nor were the books, or anything else related to the storytelling, morals and themes of LOTR. All the participants were doing was organizing this forum's way of *celebrating* the release of LOTR. And I will NOT disallow individuals in this forum from having friendly chit-chat that bonds the members of this forum together if they are doing it in a SPAM THREAD. And I hate to break it to you, admiralelectron, THIS, my friend, is a SPAM THREAD.

If you don't want chit-chat in threads you start, DON'T START SPAM THREADS.

We have discussed this several times before...both here and elsewhere on this board. And this time, I'm SERIOUS. Starting a spam thread and then getting upset when people...well...spam...is IMO, borderline trolling. And I want it to STOP. And further, I want you to STOP with the back-seat moderating and leave it to Jammer and I to run this forum. And finally, next time, if you want to start a thread that will remain on topic, I suggest you start a DS9 episode-related thread, not a thread that by it's very NATURE is a spam thread that invites chit-chat. You CANNOT CONTROL EVERYONE IN THIS FORUM, admiralelectron. They are who they are. And IMO, they are good people who stay pretty much on topic, except in SPAM THREADS SUCH AS THIS ONE.

Now...I want no more discussion of this issue in this thread. I will bump the season 6 countdown thead, and all of you guys who want to organize your LOTR siglines, avatars, and stuff can post in there. I plan on posting in there myself, in fact, as I think the organized avatar/sigline thing for current film releases boosts morale in this forum and brings us all together.

Any more complaining and disagreement in this thread, and I'm shutting it down. And no...I am NOT kidding.
