What was with Jack seeing a plane fly over head?

1.) It all happened and someone Jack reset things so they could have that time in the alt universe (or purgatory whatever) to get back together

The plane flying overhead was the Ajira plane that Frank was flying.

It'll take time to digest, but my immediate reaction is a feeling of mild irritation. Glurgy spiritual endings always feel like such a cheat.

They made it back and lived full lives probably. Everyone else who died did die. Some at different times. The whole flash sideways was a waiting station for heaven. Another stupid ending like BSG. Writers always come up with a similar idea when they have written themselves in corners.

Yes and yes.

Everyone is dead eventually. Christian was telling the precise truth there. But Frank et al,. left the island and lived out their natural lives. And then died.
