The Down Under Lounge

She is more likely to support Liberals rather than Labor on most issues though she is pretty upset with them at the moment after finding out the Tasmanian Liberal party created a website to campaign against her and they called it lambienetwork.com.

Wow......... That's LNP for you. Yes she supports them a lot which is unfortunate.

I see from the Adelaide morning murdoch the retail sector is having a whinge about having to pay holiday rates for the 4 day Easter long weekend cos the impact it will have on small business.

That would be same the retail sector that wants to be open all the time and has lobbied governments (and gotten friendly ears from the conservatives).

I can remember the days when Good Friday meant that pretty much nothing was open and all that was on tv was religious programming.

How times have changed, but sometimes not for the better.

I dunno, look it up :D

The season is only 10 episodes, if you're not dying to see it better to wait until it's finished and just buy one month of Paramount+ and binge it. You can probably get a one month free trial somewhere if you look too. That's what I do with Binge, I'll have a couple things I really want to watch and just buy one month every now and then. Cheaper than a movie ticket.

I have only ever watched Star Trek on Paramount+, if it didn't have Star Trek I wouldn't bother.

If $even didn't have the cricket and the AFL I'd never watch it. Sure, commercial TV is a joke but somehow $even is even lower than the rest. With their ongoing support for / enabling of Lehrmann (who comes across as a complete and utter sleaze, to put it politely), Teo and Roberts-Smith - to name just three of the high-profile grubs its owner keeps paying fortunes to - I don't get how anyone can take that channel even slightly seriously. Chequebook pseudo-journalism at its tackiest, and Stokes is down there with Murdoch for mine.

not sure which is worse - the utter trash dished up on the various commercial current affairs show or that millions tune into watching that drivel encouraging the networks to produce more of it.

Both are bad, I mean look at the ratings for things like MAFS....

Fucking MAFS. Thank god that that rubbish is almost over. Sick of hearing about it. The only time I watch commerical TV is for the NRL and the news.

Considering the whole premise of the show is the conflict and drama. Those poor insta sods who audition for this every year. A lot of them are instagrammers and OF people

My housemates (1M, 1F) are both right into MAFS. The TV station is always on a commercial stn. I watch a lot of ABC and occasional others like LDS and 3BP. Going to watch the (UK) Channel 4 doco, The Rise of Boris Johnson (pt 1) tonight.

That would drive me insane. I haven't lived with commercial tv in about 15 years.

Have you seen Margaret Pomeranz's roast of MAFS
