Looking at the above, it's interesting to note there were swings to ON, UAP and FamFirst... and they collectively won zero seats. The big loser was SA Best (which used to be the Xenophon Party?). What on earth did they do so wrong to cxrash so hard? Any SAers her that may know?
Do you mean Nick Xenophon's party I have no idea. He only got in to parliament years ago off the back of being anti pokies. After that it just changed. I'm not sure why they crashed so badly.

One of my friends is a little depressed because she thinks that Clive Palmer might be the next Australian PM. I told her that that is impossible because the UAP would have to have enough seats to be a major party. She said she thinks that the UAP will win dozens of seats around Australia come May. In the last Roy Morgan poll the UAP was at 1% of the vote
Tell your friend not to worry. Clive is only in it for himself and his party is only a vote funnel for the LNP
Plus Clive is running in the Senate - so it would be hard for him to become Prime Minister (perish the thought of it). I look forward to seeing Craig Kelly get dumped by the people in the seat where he is (as that is likely). If anyone from UAP would be PM - it would be the idiot Craig Kelly. And the chances of that are about 1000000 to 1.

I did tell my friend that everyone was so sick of the stupid UAP ads that that was why his ‘popularity’ had dropped but she seems to think he is still popular.
However I think my friend gets most of her political knowledge from ‘Sunrise’ or ‘ Today’, I am not really sure which one she watches.
Myself, I have not watching commercial TV for more than 20 years but I assume these shows are even crappier now than they were in the 1990s.
