Sooo... how's your supermarket going for bog paper?

I've been to 4 in the last 3 days, 2 of them had about 50% capacity, the other 2 were empty.

Just to be clear, I was grocery shopping, paper was not a problem.

some have suggest the use of the murdoch news papers for loo paper (I had relatives growing up in the 30s and 40s who did with the Adelaide advertiser) but the counter point was it's already covered in shit when you get it.

I have no tears for Dutton.

The huge Hillsong conference should have been cancelled to especially as the PM has been in contact with Dutton.

Also how did Dutton get his test done so easily and get the results so quickly?

Because as a senior politician it would have been fast tracked... One rule for thee but not for me

There was a meme going around facebook about The Wiggles singing Hot Potato to him. I got a good laugh out of that ... and the latest honest government ad from juice media.

I took advantage of the 7am-8am shopping hour at Woolworths for the elderly and disabled. A much more pleasant shop than I have of late though I was unable to get powdered milk and I had to buy to more expensive packet of plain flour and of rice. I did score a refill bottle of hand sanitiser.

I was a little annoyed that the guys manning the front of the store didn’t want to look at my disability card. He just waved me on with a “You’re right, luv’. I must have looked elderly to him.

Coles is cancelling current online orders. I was meant to get a delivery on Sunday. I gather that when they get online ordering online first preference will be given to the elderly and disabled and I will have to email them a copy of my DSP concession card. I have been using Coles Online for several years as physically shopping is so hard for me to do.

Over here it was bedlam. Crowded Woollies and people shoving other people. Not fun.

How disappointing. Maybe people are just more polite in my neighbourhood or maybe it was because it was a smaller supermarket. It was quite crowded, but no problems at all.

What I was able to pick up at my 7am shop I did not need toilet paper, pasta or frozen vegetables as I have enough of them. I have two shelves of frozen vegetables in my freezer, all bought before the coronavirus situation erupted. The pasta I have has also been in my cupboards for some weeks. iI could have got more but this lot was enough to carry 1.25 km home and I was exhausted and sore for the rest of the morning.

I did not need toilet paper as I managed to buy a box of 24 Who Gives a Crap toilet rolls the day before that company sold out. That is the company’s smallest sized box.

My main concern now is going to be getting bread, eggs, margarine and meat over the next couple of weeks until Coles Online starts up again. Running out of those would be an inconvenience rather that a real problem
