I hope he gets life - never to be released, if Victoria has that sentence.
A lot of people have been saying that or wished it we still had the death penalty, as he should get that. I'm hoping for six life sentences.
I don’t know why people still mention capital punishment. No one has been executed in Australia for 52 years. In Tasmania it has been 72 years and I think in Queensland it has been 105 years since they last executed someone.

It's probably Bruce Dawe's most famous poem and he was on the S.A English Curriculum when I did yr12 in 1988. Guess other states didn't have him on their curriculum
