This terrorist story is bloody worrying and a bit odd.
First off, two brothers were going to kill a third by planting the bomb in his luggage. Second, he was flying Etihad, a Middle Eastern airline. Third, there was a backup plan to release a gas at an undisclosed location, hydrogen sulphide, nasty stuff.
The first thing that jumps out at me is, why Etihad? Wouldn't it spread more terror if it was a Qantas flight? They could have persuaded the brother to fly with them. Second, killing a brother? What kind of messed up stuff is that? Third, releasing gas, that's pretty bad.

Etihad is a popular airline to fly to London from Aus. It flies via Dubai I think. Perhaps it was chosen simply because the brother had already booked a flight on it.
Well this is political as in what you think of the NBN and the current government's plans for an MTM (Mixed Technology Model) to complete the rollout of the NBN
It's so bad. In 10 years all the infrastructure of "Malcolm's NBN" will have to be upgraded and repaired anyway.
I always thought Labors plan with FTTH (Fiber To The Home) though a bit more expensive depending on whose figures you read was the way to go because at least it would have been somewhat future proof. But bloody politics as per usual got in the way and we have now the situation that we had. I feel like there were some people like Murdoch that wanted the NBN killed off because it would have been a thorn in the side of things like foxtel. That's just my own opinion on this.

Malcolm has messed up the NBN, because the Libs are beholden to News and Fox. Rupert Moloch was so scared that the NBN would undercut his business model that he pressured them. Yeah, Libs are bad for the country. At least we managed to get rid of our Trump, even if it took Turnbull to do it.
