The Down Under Lounge

The bus driver killed was Manmeet Alisher and I assume he was a Sikh. The police doesn't think his death is racially motivated.

The taxi driver who rescued the passengers is Aguek Dau Nyok who it seems is from Sudan.

Only info on the killer is that he is 48 years old and he had been a passenger on the bus and was the first to leave. It looks like he tried to trap the other passengers onto the bus.

I was going by the interview with the taxi driver. It is possible he only came out of the shop in time to see the perp get off the bus, not anyone get on.

On the Reclaim Australia Facebook pages the Reclaim mongrels were quick to announce that the attack was a terrorist attack by a Muslim. Now the pages are being trolled by people asking the RA crowd if they are stupid enough think that O'Donahue is a middle eastern name. The RA lot have stopped posting much but haven't deleted the threads but they haven't put up any articles about the perp being a white Australian.

Maybe they can't get out from the rocks that they live under.

Nothing but a racist party, surely?

Of course you can't ever blame the current government for fanning those flames of resentment that create groups like Reclaim Australia and the UAP. /sarc

Haven't seen one that big since the 60s. These days, when they come into the house, I catch and release.

Well, a bit has been going on. You may remember back at the end of September I lost my job. I've now been at my new one for 2 weeks. It is literally across the road from the railway station.

Also, I crashed my car, a red Camry. Loved that car, pretty upset. Had to replace it, now have a silver Camry and it goes very well.

Also, a cataract op I was going to have in April has been moved up to Monday week. Interesting thing: when the optometrist looked at my eye, he'd never seen a cataract form so quickly (3 years).

Thinking of changing my name to NonStopDrama.

After all that's been going on (see previous post) and more, my son rings me up out of the blue to inform me he's on his way to Sydney for a kidney transplant.

He's been on dialysis for a few years, and was told it would be up to 4 yrs more, but a potential donor has... appeared... and so it looks like it'll happen in the next few hours.

There are times when being a parent is like climbing a mountain.
