Here's a clue - how about asking the person themselves how THEIR OWN NAME is bloody pronounced!!!!
Also - what sounds more normal, to call your fringe a fringe, or to call a fringe "bangs".
Does that mean Americans go to see art shows and performances at the annual "Bangs Festival"? Cuz that sounds ALL KINDS of WRONG!!!!!

This morning I had the idea that it would be fun for me to fly to Melbourne and walk around the CBD wearing a hijab.

I believe that there is a law that says that foreigners are meant to carry their visas but as far as I know Australians don't have to. If a policeman asked me for ID I think I would refuse to show it. I only have a state ID card, and a pension card, as I don't have a license or a passport.
I ran into trouble a couple of weeks ago because I didn't have the neccessary ID to register for the NBN online. I had to phone instead.
