The Down Under Lounge

Peter Dutton wants an early election over the stage 3 tax cuts, the same ones that the LNP harped on about over and over, that Labor has put in place. Crazy world we live in

This is the same LNP that broke promises over and over and over. Hypocrites. Trouble is, the media is on the right side, which is to say, the wrong side.

I'm sure social media will let the sontaran in a human skin suit know the error of his ways.

Happy Kangaroo Day! I stayed over my sisters last night and watched films to 1am with her and her kids, woke up, drove home, got Maccas for mum, dad and me, and then laid down in the aircon. Hooray.

I got some washing done and shopping. Posted a bit on social media, as I watched Brooklyn Nine Nine and made some art. About start 3 again. Also made sure to see how my brother and his family, and some old friends were okay the cyclone in north Queensland.

I mean on the news this morning shock of my life Thailand of all places has it legal now and shops are selling it on the street there, same for other countries like the USA and such.

Why is it so hard for this to be legal and sold here?

What makes Australia so special that we can't do that, apart from the fact this is always in the "too hard basket" and something no one wants to really take a look at?

Also on the ABC is anyone going to watch Nemesis the doco about the LNP years?

tried researching the issue yourself to see why?

It's been legal in Thailand for over a year. I assumed it was a huge tourist drawcard, not going to get legalized by other countries in the area in a hurry.

I've known a few people who went to NYC on holiday recently and they all complained that the entire city smells like weed everywhere now.

So they were not fans of that.

But it will only be available for medical prescriptions in Thailand in the very near future, which will sabotage a lot of weed shops.

We still live with the aftereffects of Harry Anslinger's demands. Yes, he was American, but Australia always jumps with them, especially in those days. And it was only smoked by decadent people like jazz musicians and hoochie coochie dancers.

Nemesis is good. Going to watch it closer on iview

Yes, the first episode was very informative. Apparently ego is not a dirty word in the LNP.

TBF, the ABC also did one of these on the Labor leadership. It was interesting too, but as a rusted-on Labor guy, it was very cringe.

I think it just showed what a lot of people had already thought, and some of the comments and observations made. They would eat each other if given a chance. EGO was most definitely not a dirty word in the LNP but encouraged, and that attitude of eating your rivals, or anyone that shall not agree or conform.
