Hey, if I spent 18 months of my life working on a single story, I'd want to give it some time before even beginning to think about how to re-work it for another medium.

Start with the basics: think about the Hollywood writing money.^ Oh, dear God, I don't even want to think about it.![]()

So if we take out everything but the space battles we would end up with a movie you would like. Couldn't you say that about any Star Trek book?

I'll never understand why they didn't go the TV movie or straight to DVD route. It is too late now though, too many of the main characters from TNG/DS9/VOY have aged, gotten badly out of shape, etc..
Exactly. How boring...After all the stuff you wanted cut was cut... we'd have stock footage from Wolf 359 and First Contact... its just a bunch of ships shooting half effectually at Borg Cubes...
Character development is important. How else would you know who exploded, and why?I love explosions as much as the next person- but there has to be more than that... at least briefly.![]()

That's why they should make an animated flick. Most of the actors from the series (Stewart, Frakes, Dorn, Sirtis) are no strangers to voice work, and with the various animated styles out there, i'm sure trek could find the right one to further the adventures of the 24th century. An animated series based on the continuity in the post-nemesis books would be a dream come true...

Various animated styles... bah! The Filmation style was good enough for TOS; it's good enough for TNG!and with the various animated styles out there, i'm sure trek could find the right one to further the adventures of the 24th century.

Actually I think that's Dayton rendered TAS-style, not Kirk.

Erm, wrong Dayton. That's a rendering of Dayton Ward, who posted the art, not Dayton3....Actually I think that's Dayton rendered TAS-style, not Kirk.
