The Destiny Trilogy Would Make A Good Movie(s)

I know alot of people are saying that the baby storylines need to be cut, but IMO they are really to important to the characters to get rid of. Sure they would have to be cut down alot, but I really think there would be a way to still work them into a smaller part of the movies. As for the origin of the Borg, IMO there is absolutely no way in hell that could go. IMO it is just to important to the story, both due to the reasons that Sci stated, and because I thought it was a pretty important that the trilogy brought the Borg full circle. As for Hernandez time with the Caeliar, based on the kinds of stuff I've seen on shows like BSG and the Stargates, they could still due alot of the SFX stuff on a TV budget, let alone a big movie budget. And for Hernandez's aging and de-aging, I really think the only way to do this would be with old age makeup, and then bring in a younger actress to take over. In fact I even found a young Hernandez for my cast, the actress playing android based on the dead girl in Caprica trailer.

So if we take out everything but the space battles we would end up with a movie you would like. Couldn't you say that about any Star Trek book?

I'll never understand why they didn't go the TV movie or straight to DVD route. It is too late now though, too many of the main characters from TNG/DS9/VOY have aged, gotten badly out of shape, etc..

That's why they should make an animated flick :). Most of the actors from the series (Stewart, Frakes, Dorn, Sirtis) are no strangers to voice work, and with the various animated styles out there, i'm sure trek could find the right one to further the adventures of the 24th century. An animated series based on the continuity in the post-nemesis books would be a dream come true...:bolian:

Plus they could do things in a cartoon that would be hard to do on a live action TV budget.

Various animated styles... bah! The Filmation style was good enough for TOS; it's good enough for TNG!

I love explosions as much as the next person- but there has to be more than that... at least briefly. :p
Character development is important. How else would you know who exploded, and why? ;)

Exactly... well, at least as long as we have an idea of "who" so we don't wonder why their station is suddenly empty. And I always like to see if they were wearing red shirts or not...
