I would love extra scenes. It's a DVD, you can watch at your own pace. Long ass movies only get annoying to me if they suck or at the theater. The last lord of the rings movie is a good example. Good movie but it had like three endings, fucking ridiculous. How ever watching it at home on DVD was fine, I even liked the extras on and all that stuff.

Also for the amount you pay for these things its only right that they give you something extra and it makes it worth getting a DVD rather than trying to find a "good" torrent.

But what's going to be on the disks?? Extended cut?
Please no. The movie was a little fat in places as it was. No need for further scenes.
That's how I felt about the extended The Stand, but I knew 50 people who loved it.
Make that 51. I love every single bit of the Uncut Edition of The Stand. :D

In other words, you don't have to watch the extended cut - but I want it. :p
Same here. I want MORE!

Fair enough. I just don't want all the special features to be found on an extended version, forcing me to choose between the theatrical cut and the features.

Of course, Nolan's never done an extended version before (Following, Memento, Insomnia, Batman Begins, The Prestige) so I'm not expecting one here.

Jonathan Nolan mentioned that there is very little in way of deleted footage from The Dark Knight. The same with every other Christopher Nolan movie. The most comes from altered/changed dialogue, different takes thus resulting in different presentations of the same scene, and in this instance one deleted scene in particular (The Joker in the back of a car after the party scene).

The extended cut will probably show the scene where Batman uses his bat-credit card to pay for all the property damage he's done. And in the nightclub scene where Batman nabs Maroni, he does the batdance first to try to blend in as just another club-goer. :)

The extended cut will also add back all of the Bam! Whiff! Pop! that was taken out of the cinema release at the behest of Warner Bros. If Nolan had his way, it would've stayed in.

Just a quick one. According to Amazon.co.uk the Region 2 release date for both standard and Blu Ray DVDs of The Dark Knight is 8th December. No other details about content though.

Note to Warner Bros.: If you are going to make a bunch of bonus documentaries for this movie, please include them on the 2 disc release of the movie rather than jerking people around by putting the actual bonus content on the website and leading those who bought an expensive $25 version with nothing further than a "digital copy" of the movie!

Signed,
A very pissed off customer who bought your bloody worthless 2-disc copy of I Am Legend

What is a Digital Copy anyway? I'm hearing this more and more, recently, but without an accompanying explanation.

I feel that the extra content shouldn't pass the point where your head is about to explode.

I haven't even finished watching Revenge of the siths step by step process from art to cgi from casting. It's too much for me.

With that said, a 4 disk set with over 2 years of bonus material isn't my cup of tea which I hear The lord of the rings set is like

Wow, what a film! It just opened today in Germany and it certainly did not disappoint. Haven't seen such a great movie in a long time. I think I'll see it again on the weekend ...

I didn't much care for the Revenge of the Sith documentaries. They focused on too much minutae. But I quite enjoy a lot of the bonus features on the 4-disc Lord of the Rings DVDs. The documentaries are very well done. They keep a good pace, and since the movies were made over such a long period of time, there are a lot of good stories that have accumulated. I'd also recommend listening to any actor commentaries that have Billy Boyd & Dominic Monaghan on them. Those 2 are even more entertaining IRL than they are in the movie. :D

Holy crap, 1000th post. Who cares. Anyway, I've just seen it for the third time. The first time it was amazing. The second time, less amazing. The third time, almost as amazing as the first time. Very weird effect...
