Andor? Oh, there's that galaxy-spanning bullshit because it's supposed to tie the original films together
Amazing, every word of what you just said was wrong.
Andor? Oh, there's that galaxy-spanning bullshit because it's supposed to tie the original films together
That's how it started. Why is it every time a Skywalker is involved, the galaxy is invariably imperiled
That's how it started.
Cool. All the more reason to retire him along with everything else I mentioned. Time to find new subject matter in the universe. And furthermore, it's really all a moot point since I won't touch anything with Disney's fingerprints to begin with, and since they're not doing Legends stories anymore that's effectively the end of Star Wars that I'm interested in.
You literally said you were no longer interested in Star Wars...This started with you attacking my controversial opinion, and now, suddenly, I can't post in here or something because I think Disney is shit and I'm tired of seeing them use Star Wars as a vehicle to push subversive bullshit?
Lmfao
Bad form.
and since they're not doing Legends stories anymore that's effectively the end of Star Wars that I'm interested in.
So why are we talking about shit? No, I said that is where my interest in Star Wars ends. There is a difference. I still do my own thing, but I do not engage any of the rest of it because everything produced by Disney turns to shit.
You know what I want? I want a story about a guy working a bar in the depths of the city planet Denon, and all his interactions with the different characters who are regulars. No Jedi bullshit. No galaxy spanning bullshit. I want to see this character tinker on a starfighter, build his bar up, and all the assholes and gangsters he had to go through to get it, including the Black Sun vigos.
That would be a hell of a lot more intriguing to me than some bullshit story about yet another bounty hunter with aspirations of glory.
That's comparing apples and aircraft carriers.Michael Two Wolves said:Or are you really going to tell me Kylo Ren is somehow an equal replacement of Thrawn?
In canon oblivion where it belongs.Michael Two Wolves said:Where's the Ssi-Ruuvi Imperium?
Are you kidding? People slated it back then too. And Empire, and ANH. Nothing changes. If The Return Of The Jedi was released today it would be slated left, right and centre. Online trolls would probably complain about too much Lando and object to Nien Nunb speaking in an actual African language.
Thinking about it, after the outcry seeing Lando pilot the Falcon at the end of the last movie, Williams would more than likely have been replaced for this one.
It's hard to believe but the world's become a nastier and less open and tolerant place since 1983.
Indeed. Ewiks and Jabba's palace have been maligned since it came out.Are you kidding? People slated it back then too. And Empire, and ANH. Nothing changes.
Don’t give them an easy pass. Disney FAFO’d and now they’re finding out with their string of multimillion dollar disasters. It’s well-deserved and I’m enjoying every shriek and cry as staffer after staffer is fired. Suffer and go bankrupt.
They killed the EU to allegedly get rid of the nonsense and shenanigans only to turn around and give us…more shenanigans?
*slow clap*
Bravo. You effing morons. “We’re gonna retcon to ensure more consistency going forward.” Uh huh. How’s that working out for you? You killed Thrawn and gave us the cardboard cutout version in Kylo Ren instead? The entire franchise post Rogue I is a mess and not worthy of fandom. You don’t get rid of George Patton to replace him with Ronald McDonald, and that’s exactly what they did.
Now, maybe they’ve done something worthy of consideration in the newer movies and tv series. I don’t know. Don’t care because I’ll never watch them. I will never watch them because by destroying the EU and all the background canon, they have reduced its depth and rendered it a shallow mud puddle, and now, when I watch the ads for them, I am stuck with the thought of what could have been getting in the way of enjoying the franchise.
There's no pink armour in Star Wars. Also, fire anyone who seriously ever again suggests making armor pink.
The new canon still has all that nuisance. That is where the loss of the EU stings. That is why it is worth fighting over. Star Trek has no analogues as far as I know. I like hearing about illegal Carbanti Stutter-Matrices and souped-up Girodyne SRB42 sublight engines that use a Quadex power core. That adds depth when referred back to periodically.
https://numidianprime.wordpress.com/2021/02/08/george-lucas-and-the-expanded-universe/The "it was never canon" position ultimately does not originate from anything Lucas said
