Colorado State is beating Colorado. YES! :techman: 23-10, three minutes to go.

ETA- and they won. Let's go Rams!

^Congrats! It's always fun to win a big rivalry game. You have one of the stranger tastes in sports teams I've seen. The Mets, Nats, and Colorado State. How'd that happen KM?

I'm a CSU graduate. :p Class of '94. I almost went to Colorado, though. Glad I didn't. The bigger rivalry is CSU and Wyoming, though. I loved going to those games. When we beat them in '90, we tore down the goalposts! Someday, I'm going to post those pics.

Hey, I'm a Mets fan because I was born in New York, and I didn't like the Yankees. ;)

My cute Cam the Ram toy...

The mascot is called CAM because CSU used to be Colorado A&M.

It shouldn't have been that close. CSU looked ready to play and CU didn't. They should be embarrassed to put that out on their home field.

ETA: The latest offering from the greatness that is Drew Litton:

JM1776 will be happy - Penn State and Rutgers have scheduled a home and home for 2014-2015.

On ESPN yesterday they said the early odds are USC a 7 point favorite. I think Ohio State should be the favorite. Beating the Buckeyes at home with a freshman QB and a somewhat inexperienced defense is going to be very tough, though I would never bet against a Pete Carroll team in a big game.

The playcalling was very conservative against SJS, with almost no deep passes. Are they going to open up the playbook against Ohio State or stay conservative with the freshman QB? And the front seven of the USC defense is mostly new players, they may have trouble containing Pryor. It does help that it's a faster defense that last year so maybe they will come through.

You can afford to be conservative when you average 8 yards a rush.
Well and there is the key; can SC run successfully enough against OSU to keep from having to open up the playbook. If we see Barkley throwing more than SC is running, it will almost surely be because they can't run it, not because its part of the original game plan.

OSU will have the revenge factor in their favor as well as the 'we- screwed-up-in-our-first-game-and-now-everyone-doubts-us' thing going for them also.

Making USC a 7 point favorite is the bookies inviting the suckers to risk their money. USC is in deep.

Did anyone else catch the Miami-Florida State game tonight? That game had everything - great plays, great TD runs, big hits, and even a defensive stop to end it after a penalty set it up. There was also a kicker who couldn't hit extra points, but could nail a 45 yarder just fine. Great game. I almost hope it leads to something just so I can be one of those people who saw the game.

I missed the game, but was keeping tabs on the score at the end. Saw Florida State up 34-31, then Miami scored. It's just not a real Florida State-Miami game without the Seminoles gagging it away at the end. ;)

God almighty, the Sooners have to play Miami in three weeks. They confirmed today that Jermaine Gresham, their all American tight end, is lost for the season. He needs surgery on his damaged knee. He also elected to return to school for his senior season like Bradford did. Gresham would have been a first rounder easy. I hope he was smart enough to insure his legs. Bradford took out an insurance policy on his arm in the off season. He'll return to health, but Gresham's knee is messed up. The coaches are moving players around on the offensive line they touted so much pre season. Sounds like they're finally scared of the inexperience present.

So everyone is going to be rooting against Notre Dame, and for Michigan on Saturday right? Last I checked, we had no Notre Dame lovers on this board, and quite a few haters.

This way we can all come together and root for right team. ;)

Notre Dame is the focal point of all evil in the world.

Is there a reason for this? I was going to root for Notre Dame because they didn't complain about practice like some teams did.

Because I'm a USC fan. Notre Dame is our biggest rival. Has been for many, many decades.

Well, I was raised to be a Badger fan first, an Irish fan second. Which means I hate Michigan, Penn State, and USC, even if it means I have to root for the evil Ohio State Fuckeyes.

I'll be rooting for Notre Dame and OSU this weekend, although in deference to my friendship with Mimic and an unusual distaste for Syracuse, I'll be backing off my hatred for Penn State and rooting for them.

The reason for the hate for the Irish is that they have so many fans around the nation for very little reason. That leads everyone who isn't a fan to hate them in retaliation.

The ONLY reason I (suppose) I'll be rooting for Michigan is because the Big Ten needs to not suck. Every team needs to be undefeated until Penn State defeats them. Illinois has already failed me on that measure, but the rest have a chance.

Of course, for entertainment purposes it could be fun to see how Iowa fans talk up ISU as the greatest team ever if they lose. Apparently NIU is a real powerhouse.

It's a little surprising to learn that Badger fans don't like PSU. I think Bielema is a @#$% because of that classy little stunt he pulled in 2006 with the offsides on the kickoff THREE TIMES but once he gets fired I'll have no issues with them.
