Spoilers The Clone Wars - Season 7 Discussion [SPOILERS]

One thing that did occur to me in that regard, is that I could see someone with darker skin, like Rosario Dawson, being easier to give the orange skin tone that Ahsoka has on the shows.
I just checked on Wookiepedia and Shaak Ti's live action actress was an Israeli woman named Orli Shoshan, and her skin tone is closer to Rosario Dawson's than Ashley Eckstein's.
When the makeup is that heavy, the person's complexion doesn't really come into it one way or the other. This isn't just giving someone a quick pat down with slightly red/orangy foundation (because then it'd look like a bad spray tan), it's full on body paint and detail airbrushing and blending for the silicone appliances.

Doesn't mean you can't show a little basic courtesy, even if this is a spoiler thread. People might not know it's out in the wild yet and probably won't appreciate finding out the hard way.
Meh. You’re always going to spoil it for someone. Just look at Mandalorian. the Colonies had it first but that didn’t stop them spoiling the big surprise online to the rest of the world.

^It's a good read, from memory. Thought you'll have to "squint" past a few details which have been overwritten now.

Given the way those final four episodes were edited (without the traditional intro fanfare and narration) I wish that they had been released as one feature-length movie. It would have made for a nice bookend with the theatrical release that started it all.

There isn't much about this that I can say that doesn't essentially boil down to "I loved it." Even though I wish they'd given us more than these 12 episodes, I'm so glad they were able to go back and give this series some proper closure.

I'm convinced they will be at some point. Not only the missing newsreel on the last three eps, but they all pick up the exact moment the previous ep left off.

She must be dead by then surely.

Not necessarily. She was born 36 years before Yavin. Rise of Skywalker is 35 years after Yavin. She would be 71 years old which hardly means that she's dead. And even though Ahsoka's voice appeared in TRoS, Dave Filoni (the only person who's opinion really matters when it comes to Ahsoka) stated:

I have to wonder with Star Wars fans. They seem to watch the movies but they don’t take all the lessons. They deal a lot in absolutes, which is very much a Sith thing. I remember in The Empire Strikes Back Luke speaking out through the force to Leia. Vader also does this at the end of Empire Strikes Back. There’s no absoluteness that these people are dead. I mean, some of them we know are dead.

Rather than just watch the new episode when it dropped, I went and watch all four of this arc back-to-back and I'm so glad I did! It really did feel like a complete movie with the last episode being a great climax to both the arc and the show as a whole.

I did feel like it could have done with a *little* more of a coda, to add at least *some* glimmer of hope into it all. Maybe Obi-Wan's message, maybe a glimpse of the next generation of heroes around the galaxy (Luke, Leia, Hera, Ezra, Kanan, Sabine, Jyn...)
The Vader appearance while not unexpected was impressive nonetheless. A very noticeable shift in style towards an almost photo-real look. A very subtle way of communicating and end of innocence. Not that they haven't been moving away from the early more stark, flat, angular Tartakovsky inspire look of early seasons towards a more rounded, dimensional look over the course of the show anyway, but this felt like a much more significant leap.

I'm sure they will release it all cut together as a movie at some point, since it's obviously constructed that way. Maybe they'll add in some extended scenes?

The Ahsoka novel has long been on my to-read list, but it has now been made a priority.

Just to manage expectations; it's a fairly contained story that picks up about a year after this episode and fills in a few blanks between this and her showing up as Fulcrum, on Rebels. Not ALL the blanks, but you get how she ended up on that path.

It even includes a flashback or two to it's events, though one may have to squint and mentally edit a few details since the book was written based on unfinished materials. Nothing major honestly, just a few, mostly cosmetic details. Their relevance to the book's actual plot is unaffected.

I want another Ahsoka novel!
Maybe set after the rise of Skywalker?
I'd rather they cover the period between Malachor and her picking Sabine up in the final coda. Clearly she's been on some kind of journey while the rest of the galaxy had been busy having the original Star Wars Trilogy happen all over the joint.
Also: a Rex novel. I'd love to see how he ended up finding Wolfe & Gregor and retiring to Seelos and hunting joopas...

Would be typical if she’s still alive and Maul isn’t. He was the true MVP of this season.

I don't think the word "typical" means what you think it means. Maul is the one with a track record of escaping certain death and popping up where he's least expected. Indeed it's something the two of them share in common.
