In the lap of squalor I assure you.
    Not a Narcissist.

    A sociopath.

    He doesn't feel anything.

He has to imitate normal things to pass as normal, or as close as he can get.

It's that constant emptiness eating away at him, that makes him struggle to build a normal life, that he has no capacity to enjoy.

A normal person feels disgust and rage when confronted by a NAZI.

    Homelander feels nothing.

Yep. I think he simply loathes everyone who consider inferior to him. He was clearly puzzled by the "white genocide" thing. I believe he's quite egalitarian in his contempt. He's like someone who hates snakes: he isn't particularly interested in knowing if the creature which crawl in front of him is a cylindrophiidae or a lamprophiidae.

By the way, even the Joker hates the Nazi.

I wouldn't say he loathes non-Supes. He clearly wants their love and affection. He simply sees himself as above them. He's a god who wants the lowly humans to worship him.

But yeah, he's definitely not a racist/white supremist. He was fine with A-Train on the team until he fucked up with the Compound V and got weak. He's simply a Supe Supremist mixed in with some toxic masculinity.

He is a Supe or Homelander Supremacist as in he believes himself to be superior to everybody else, that doesn't mean he thinks his (white) race makes him superior as a (Nazi) racist would do.

Homelander is "just" a sociopath - he doesn't lean any way but his own, he is unable to consider anyones feelings (not even his son's) because he's never been taught to consider others so he doesn't know how to socialize and be truly part of a group.

It was a good finale - not what i expected but they laid out the road ahead for season 3 which should be fun.

I was completely surprised about the head popping when it turned out to be Neumann, that should become very interesting when this power comes out ( and it always does).

It was pretty good but I still feel everything quite gelled as well as it could have. I might watch it again at some point where I can stream it more closely together to see if that make it more cohesive.

I don't think Homelander was trying to actually cook her.

I've watched a few things and Aya Cash looks really different when she not being Stormfront.

The Deep may well end up being the supervillain threat they've been using.

Especially since they did a send up of that scene back in episode 5 ("Don't worry, girls get it done!").

He's not AS insanely, dogmatically racist as Stormfront, but he still looks down on regular humans as "mud people", feels super humans are a new "master race", disdainful of foreigners (calls them "camel jockeys" and sadistically murders them), aggressively drums up Christian American nationalism, just finds Stormfront's "white genocide" spiel quaint, and still rolls with Stormfront (after her shady background and militant pre-1945 views were revealed to him).

Not sure Homelander has any ideology. Or is political in any conventional sense. He is not a "movement" person, like Stormfront. You could that he is a Homelanderist. But that doesnt seem to mean anything other than narcissism. He is a dangerous unstable psychopath with a god complex.

He listened to her spiel about "White Genocide" but didnt seem to care. Even looked relieved to have her stop talking so he could get back to training his little rugrat.

I thought I read somewhere he was the first Supe, so I'm assuming that means he'll be showing up in flashbacks, unless he's immortal like Stormfront.
    Could Stormfront still be alive?
We know from the "lazer my tits" stuff that she can heal, so I guess it just depends how strong that ability is. I could see her possibly showing back up later in Season 3 as a wild card complication.

He's still a total racist/white supremacist/bigot. Remember he killed the "Daredevil" guy earlier in the season just because he was imperfect in Homelander's eyes. He has also demonstrated other racist attitudes before Homelander arrived, in the episodes about foreign super terrorists--and look at the visual clues. His costume is reminiscent of Nazi uniforms, his blond hair cut short and neat. Stormfront just helped him become more overt about it. Not as overt as being a straight up Nazi, but neither was the racism of the current U.S. government until the last year or so.

If they are smart, they will say that Stormfront is like Deadpool, and those limbs can grow back. I would say skin and hair back also over time.

Here's Eric Kripke's interview about the season finale and some details about season three.

Details about Stormfront... Kripke's answer is quite hilarious. :D
TVLINE: I have to ask, because until I see the body being buried or something, I never trust TV shows anymore: Is Stormfront dead?
EK: No, she’s not dead! She’s Stumpfront! She’s a stumpy little Nazi. She’s actually not dead. What we thought was interesting is, if you remember, she ages very, very slowly. So the best poetic ending for that character is someone who so believed in some kind of pure race finds herself mutilated and having to live with it for potentially centuries felt like a fate worse than death for her. So no, Stumpfront is not dead. Hashtag Stumpfront lives!

He killed Blindspot because he did not want a disabled supe in the Seven and not because of his race. He was alright with A-Train being on the Seven until A-Train developed Compound V addiction. He was also not in favour of The Deep making a return to the Seven because of sexual misconduct. Homelander strikes me as more interested in his fame and image and protecting that than being an actual racist. As some one wrote in this thread earlier, Homelander is a Sociopath.

He "killed" (or more accurately badly maimed) Blindspot more because he was disablist and wanting to put Ashley in her place in that incident. He says "perfect American" (instead of "perfect English") without much self-awareness and gets incredulous to learn that African village he messed around in had access to digital cameras and the internet (finally ruining his spotless public image).

He's a narcissistic sociopath/psychopath, making him far more prone to being an arrogant, ignorant person towards others and entire vague groups of people (and happily got recruited by a full blown National Socialist from the 1940s, who herself had narcissistic, pathological tendicies). And he went behind Vought's back in S1 with his conservative stances at that Christian music festival.

When they had sex and Homelander was lasering Stormfront's chest her skin did burn and discolor and then she healed up again. So she certainly does have healing powers. The extent to those powers? I guess it will be up to the producers.

I can't recall the exact scenario, but in either Marvel or DC there was a character with healing powers who had their limbs cut off and the limbs didn't actually regenerate and they just 'healed up as stumps'

I have a feeling the Vought International Corporation is keeping Stormfront on ice in a secret laboratory somewhere, when she's basically Patient Zero as the first successful subject that absorbed the V serum (and probably get "resurrected" as a cyborg enforcer under tighter Vought control).

Homelander had a tragic childhood and adolesecence like Butcher, but Butcher's somehow got a stronger sense of self-awareness and ultruism towards others (starting with his brother) stopping him from being more of a monster like Homelander is (though even Homelander saved Madelyn's infant son).

Viewing Homelander's bizarre masturbation ritual on top of a skyscraper and his sexually intense (but emotionally stunted) fling with Stormfront, we get a full picture of Homelander developmentally stuck at being a teenager - he's much more like a precocious 12 to 14 year old than a genuinely mature adult, which he'll never actually be (unfortunately he's in a body of a 45 year old functionally indestructable flying demi-god: he's basically Shazam without the playful innocence and good intentions).

I wonder if we'll actually see Stumpfront at some point? I wonder if Vought has any kind of artificial limbs they could give her?
